Heya Dave. Good to hear the byrds and some raga too.
  10:12pm
PMD:

Hey! Listening in your time zone. Great! Drive up the Hudson River parkway.

@PMD: Ah, welcome to my time zone.

i'm also a dave, apparently. ever since my early teens strangers would approach me,thinking i was "dave". it's happened dozens of times in nyc, upstate ny, nj, ca, and new hope pa.

cheri:

dave, you really outdo yourself every sunday night!

Avatar 10:33pm
Dave Mandl:

Hey Eric. Thanks.
  10:42pm
mark Flynn:

This piece is pretty amazing. Very much like the Gregorian chants I've been listening to as part of my musical holiday entertainment.
  10:43pm
cheri:

sunday nights are always great when dave's on!
  10:44pm
Eric Hat:

Even when my fares seem a little tripped out by the tunes, I know they truly love it...deep down.
  10:45pm
Eric C.:

Ruth Wieder Magan -- who is she? The Internet tells me very little. Also, that was in Hebrew, wasn't it.
Avatar 10:46pm
Dave Mandl:

Yeah, I think it was Hebrew. She also sings some songs in Ladino on that record.
Avatar 10:47pm
redkayak:

What a cool set.....
  10:53pm
Eric C.:

That title is definitely not Hebrew. The diacritics and spelling make me think Hungarian or something similarly opaque? But even trying to read it phonetically, it doesn't sound like Hebrew to my unexpert ear.
Avatar 10:55pm
Dave Mandl:

@Eric: You're probably right. Doesn't look like Hebrew to me, either. I don't recognize those words. But hard to judge from transliterations sometimes.
  10:55pm
cheri:

I got to cut out now dave, but I have my radio tuned in, happy holidays to one and all!
Avatar 10:58pm
Dave Mandl:

Thanks, cheri. Night.
  11:04pm
mark Flynn:

Interesting track. I'm guessing it's contemporary but seems very 90's a la Air but more gritty.
  11:09pm
JakeGould:

Thirthyfifthsies!
  11:15pm
Carmichael:

Ruth Wieder Magen is apparently part of the Traveling Jerusalem Theatre. Not too much info, but good sounds to these Irish ears.
  11:28pm
mark Flynn:

Ruth is amazing and the P
Crowley track, if indeed of 70's origin an artist I need to add to my collection.
  11:30pm
Steve-O:

Hey guys. Lovin' the music! =)
  11:30pm
Carmichael:

@Mark Flynn: thanks, fellow Eirann!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Kamikaze Ground Crew? What do they maintain? Some kind of fun machine, perhaps?
  11:31pm
Steve-O:

Did anybody hear about that major traffic accident in Las Vegas, btw? At least 11 people badly hurt so far. =(
Avatar 11:31pm
Dave Mandl:

@Steve-O: Thanks.
Avatar 11:31pm
Dave Mandl:

@Ken: Haha.
  11:34pm
JakeGould:

@Steve-O: 11 people killed in a traffic accident? Has Facebook set something so I can change my user avatar to honor the tragedy? Or is Facebook still honoring those lost in the “Star Wars?”
  11:35pm
mark Flynn:

With you Carmichael!

The last track was beautiful! Like early Aphex but so much more melodic.
  11:37pm
cheri:

sorry dave, but I just came back to know if you celebrate Christmas, if you do, hope you have a merry one!
  11:37pm
Carmichael:

@Mark: Agreed. And I am too paranoid to give my real Irish name ...
  11:38pm
cheri:

Christmas is a dark time of year for me.
  11:39pm
Eric Hat:

Mark McGuire. Check.
  11:43pm
Eric Hat:

I declare. The programming Sunday eve through Monday morn is price/timeless.
  11:44pm

whoever is using my name, quit it!
Avatar 11:45pm
Dave Mandl:

@Eric: Thanks.
  11:47pm
Carmichael:

Dude, Albert Ayler. Sweet.
  11:48pm
mark Flynn:

@Carmichael: I shudder every St Patrick's Day watching my brethren and wanna be's drink whatever and wear green (?), but I'm a Flynn, which is pretty Irish.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49pm
coelacanth:

and also obvious to Albert Ayler non-fans- which explains some of the non-fan-ness.
  11:52pm
George T.:

Time to go home and rethink my life choices. May peace be with you and yours.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm

Ha! this is honeymoon killers?!
  11:53pm
mark Flynn:

The Honeymoon Killers are one of my favorite LES bands of the 80's. I had no idea they started in the 70's.
Avatar 11:54pm
Dave Mandl:

Not the NYC Honeymoon Killers. These people were Belgian.
  11:55pm
Carmichael:

Yay Coel. Everyone should take use of the free registration. Keeps the buttholes off the board.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55pm
coelacanth:

i didn't either and didn't know they did stuff like that. 'Funny!
  11:57pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57pm
coelacanth:

Thanks Carm.
  11:58pm
