I'm kind of on the cusp too. I'm kind of millenial esque but have a real hard time relating to the real proper ones cuz I didn't have the internets or social media when I was younger.
Yeah, and I see some definitions trying to include my time-of-birth among the Boomers, which is completely bogus - I have nothing in common with those old-ass former hippies.
I mean, sometimes I'll hang out with them, but we're clearly not part of the same club.

Marc15:
Pseu, can you tell me what my next boyfriend will be like?
@Jeff: Something like that. I wish I could be a part of a men’s club. Like just a place to hang out and just play cards and drink beers and talk about non-club members.
I was born right after the Boomers, and I have a hard time identifying with them because sex was potentially deadly again by the time I was responsibly ready for it...and, to be fair, I never had to worry about the draft or about long prison terms for small amounts of pot.
And then, around 1990 or so, I got an Amiga 600. That was super exciting.

I realized we are living in the future this week. Seems an artist decided it would be nice to make a portrait of the currently imprisoned Chelsea Manning post gender transition, but the US military is not allowing anyone to photograph her. This is no ordinary artist, however. She gets permission to have Manning mail a mouth swab from her cell so she can perform DNA analysis on it. She's developed a system that can generate probable facial reconstructions based on DNA, age, and known lifestyle information. And so she uses Manning's DNA to create a portrait of her, and then has it 3D printed for exhibition.
my first manhattan job my take home was $189 a week. My rent was $450 a month, plus subway, and con ed and brroklyn union gas and food. i don't have a clue how i survived and had fun on top of it.
jake - when i was a kid in the 60s a bottle of pop was 15 cents (6 oz, i admit) and penny candy was two cents. star wars was ten years away. i still have my batman cards though.
@dale: Okay! But in a fit of nostalgia I bought a pile of original Star Wars cards from 1977. I now own an Aunt Beru card. That was entertainment to us kids back then.
In McAllen Texas they converted an abandoned Walmart into the world's single largest community library.

It's a remarkably pretty library. A real Third Place. https://mcallen.smugmug.com/Library/New-Main-Library/New-Main/Photo-Tour-February-2012/i-g9VVG9Q/

I don't think anyone else is finding the chat page. There's no front/home page link today.
