Hi Becky? I hope that is your name. I too am a Virginian, haven't lived there for quite awhile. Nice to have a clean comment place! Have you ever heard Patrick Sky's collection, "Songs That Made America Famous"?

Becky:

I just rediscovered "Fool for a Blonde" by Roger Bartlett. It was part of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie score. A primitive Western Swing song, to be sure.

And sounding just as good in the Soggy Northeast!

Hey Becky! — Brayn here

hailing from Delmarva, but tuning in from West Philly. Can't recall if you take requests or not but, if you would, could you please play "Tender Warrior" by Jimmy "Swamp Country" Walker? or hell anything from that LP.. even if not, regardless — really dig yer show. if you get a chance, there's a pretty zonked old-timer country show here in the Delaware Valley on WRDV 107.3 friday nights from 7-10pm called "Country Gold Classics" — thanks again! You know, that whole idea of someone kissing someone to make them go away… Not a great idea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm
Becky:

@JakeGould Depends on the context - if they don't want a kiss very much, it might work like a charm!

,,,Now This IS the FUN ZONE !!! Being kind of the neighborhood taxi, I was giving a young Gal friend of mine a ride and had DJ Becky`s stuff playin on the alpine (Ray Price it was) and she said my Grama used to play that record for me so it would calm Me down after Mama-n-Daddy would have one of their crazy arguments ,,sed She had a really fair collection of Honky Tonk 45`s,,it made me feel good that I helped bring up a good part of Her rough and tumble upbringing.I have never gotten so many responses and stories from a real assortment of good people/friends/passengers as when that music is playing! thanks DJB
