So glad you're back Jesse!

David:

Hi, Mr. Kaminsky. The dee jays on
this station are not based in New
Jersey?
Avatar 7:17pm
Jesse K:

Hi David! The Drummer Stream DJ's are all over the world in a lot of cases
  7:18pm
David:

I didn't know.. cool
Avatar 7:19pm
Jesse K:

And so are the listeners, I think...It's the beauty of the internet
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm
Doug Schulkind:

@David
You are listening to a show on WFMU's alternate channel Give the Drummer Radio. Unlike WFMU, which mandates that deejays do their shows (for the most part) live from the station, this webstream features deejays who connect in remotely from all over. Earlier today, a show was on from Portland, Oregon. We just had a show on from Pittsburgh, and now Jesse K is on from Boston! Welcome to the Drummer Stream!

Hey, Jesse K. and fellow Drummers.

Interesting those checkpoints, I was just playing Papers, Please on my computer right now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm

doca!

Jesse K:

Hi doca! The photos tonight are the work of Josef Schulz, a series called Übergang. www.josefschulz.de...
Avatar 7:40pm
doca:

Hey, @Doug! How is everything going?
Avatar 7:40pm
Jesse K:

Obviously except for the first gif
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm
listener james from westwood:

@doca: I've heard good things about that game. Also heard it's a heartbreaker occasionally.
Avatar 7:42pm
doca:

I think I know the series, @Jesse K. I hope those checkpoints remain closed, and not reopen because of Europe's nationalist backlash.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm
Doug Schulkind:

Most things are good, doca!
Avatar 7:45pm
doca:

@ljfw: A heartbreaker in what sense? It's indeed a good game. Looks unpromising in a first glance, but it gets tense because you have to watch the time and pay attention to what is required at the different missions, and it gets really complex.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm
listener james from westwood:

I'd heard some admissions processes were a bit of a stressful experience. Have not yet played it so may be crossing wires on what gameplay is actually like. But good to hear it's enjoyable. Last game I played and massively enjoyed was Gone Home.
Avatar 7:55pm
Jesse K:

So...What's Papers, Please?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm
coelacanth:

i love that top gif! 'makes me laugh, too.
Avatar 7:57pm
doca:

@ljfw: Never played Gone Home, but heard good things about it. I've installed Steam once again in my computer for a good carnival at home. Must say it's been a pretty good decision.

@Jesse K: It's a game where you're a checkpoint officer in an fictitious Eastern Europe dictatorship and need to control who enters and who not in your country.
Avatar 7:58pm
Jesse K:

Would I lose if I made the argument that open borders benefits everyone?
Avatar 7:58pm
doca:

*who don't
Avatar 7:58pm
doca:

@Jesse K: Probably you'd been killed
Avatar 8:05pm
Jesse K:

Fair enough, not my time or place. Perhaps if I was born then I would think otherwise
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm
Doug Schulkind:

I would stand in front of a Borders® and let anyone in. But all the Borders® have closed.
