Scratchy vanity 45s, pilfered field recordings, muddy off-the-radio sounds, homemade congregational tapes and vintage commercial gospel throw-downs; a little preachin', a little salvation, a little audio tomfoolery.

Brother Ray has a date tonight. He says hey.
  8:08pm
P-90:

This sounds so much like a straight-up Doo Wop song... it caught me a little by surprise. But: beautiful!
  8:09pm
Richard:

On the Thursday night after, let's see, a Sunday bicycle accident, hip fracture, and surgery, there's only one place on the planet I'd want to be -- right here, listening to "Bad Condition" on Sinner's Crossroads.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm
sinner:

Richard. Get well soon, my friend. Your bad condition will turn to a good condition before too long I bet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm
chris:

whoa! Richard, please feel better soon. good medicine right here.

and hello sinner and sinners...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm
sinner:

There go chris.
  8:18pm
Richard:

Yes, the best medicine! And, actually, things are already moving in a good direction. As of today (and after two PT sessions), I'm down to just one crutch. By the end of this show, I'll probably be up and dancing.
  8:19pm
P-90:

@Brother Richard: The Crossroads was a great comfort to me too, last summer after I was laid up for seven weeks after leg surgery.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
sinner:

Take all you need!!
  8:21pm
P-90:

Some real Delta-style Blues flavor in that guitar behind Annie.
  8:21pm
IFisher:

Hello everyone. Best of health to all. The imagery is very special and great, thank you.
Sinner, one of the many passings we have endured this year was of the great soul singer Otis Clay. His roots were said to be in gospel (as of course was true for so many of his generation). Do any Otis Clay gospel recordings exist?
  8:23pm
Richard:

Re Otis Clay, check out the YouTube clip of him singing "I Keep on Toiling" (AKA "When the Gates Swing Open") at Pastor Maceo Woods' church.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm
sinner:

Clay sang lead on several of the Gospel Songbird's recordings on Nashboro.
  8:25pm
JakeGould:

Reverend Snotty Nose!
  8:25pm
IFisher:

Thanks, Richard. I will check that out! (I love so much to get the human referral)
  8:27pm
Mr C:

On Thursday, it's just my salvation, running away with me...
  8:28pm
IFisher:

Thank you, Sinner. What a privilege to be able to ask and receive (not that I am anti-google, but it is more rewarding to get the info this way)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm
sinner:

JakeGould--Promise to never go out in public wearing " a little ol' piece."
  8:29pm
P-90:

btw, Richard, lay off the Rooster King pills until after you're on your feet again. They can make you feel a bit er, "impatient" when there's no hens around to chase. Word to the wise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
sinner:

Mr. C. has testified.
