Cooh John:

Last year I celebrated by attending the 24 hour Zombie - Jesus movie marathon that has been going on for 10 years. A movie from each genre is shown at the same time and side by side. You can check out the FB page for listings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29am

I know the presenter. He shows it on Easter weekend and starts at midnight on Saturday night. I made it through the opening presentation of Night of the Living Dead shown next to Jesus Christ Superstar. Interesting neuron firings at times.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48am

what fair city are you in that presents such a sacreligious spectacle
Cooh John:

Vernal tidings, Guido and Sem.
Cooh John:

Micah, though not as cosmopolitan as NYC, that would be Columbus, OH. Home to several bands played with love and appreciation on WFMU.

Avatar 7:19am

oh, yes, the Art of Living. !! a young man who rented a room from me, who ended up avoiding his rent payments, was a huge advocate of them. went to a couple of their gatherings. it was spooky. all love and light, but you could feel tension.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20am

you seem to have dabbled in alot of these groups annie
Avatar 7:25am

i sure have... my search for "community" and "family" has taken me down many rabbit-holes. since i don't play well with others, i'm almost always rejected due to my distaste for heirarchy. my family is humankind
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31am
Cubicle Carl:

Sounds a little like sloop john b.
Avatar 7:33am

and the funny thing is that all this music is so alluring, so momentarily satisfying and comforting. ...the other shoe will always drop

Good morning everyone

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am
Ken From Hyde Park:

These songs are becoming part of our cult-ure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

Woah, I was just alerted to the existence of Tim Maia yesterday afternoon (and spent an hour or two listening to him), when asking a friend for some Tropicalia artists to check out. Weird. Maybe I should join this cult...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53am

its a sign canterbury
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

@Micah Later today I'm going to be meeting up with my friend who got caught up in Candice O'Denver's "Balanced View". Haven't seen her for ages (when she was just starting to get seriously into it). Now it's the central focus of her life. Any advice on how to deal with the topic? (avoid it? be totally straightforward and honest? just ask and listen?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56am

yea canterbury its best to be neutral and ask as many questions as you can..i mean, thats what Id do

Wow, Laraaji! Got a great concert double bill in mind: Laraaji with opening act Calvin Johnson!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am
Sem Chumbo:

Reverb, is there nothing it cannot enhance?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40am
Ken From Hyde Park:

An echo with reverb would be kind of funky.
Hey Now:
