Hey man! Is this Freedom Rock!!

Actually I first heard this in some commercial years ago, only identified it some years later. There's also a recurring "theme" in Uncle Buck that apes this bassline heavy.

Avatar 12:40am

Beautiful! And I don't mind variations on themes, I'm into classical music so that's to be expected ("They're not repeating, they're QUOTING! REFLECT on it!!!..."). Not to mention soundtracks will re-utilize the same themes often ("A Hard Day's Night", and the masterpiece that is the "Inspector Gadget" soundtrack...)
  12:40am
JakeGould:

FWIW, while I was sick this past week I rematched “Benji.” What a great film! Nothing heavy, very nice visuals and actually a bit darker than most people expect a kids film to be. Kinda like “Bad News Bears” in a way.

I reWATCHed, “Benji.” Stupid sexy spellcheck.

  12:44am

@MONEYBAG$: Benji has that flashback where he sees someone holding a gun and then there is a flashback to some gun violence that poor dog witnessed.

Avatar 12:46am

  12:46am
JakeGould:

@coelacanth: Also Benji’s girlfriend dog gets kicked very hard/badly by bad guys. You almost think she’s dead in the scene.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am
coelacanth:

well, i ain't watchin' it then!

Squirrel, a person who subverts Hubbard's "Tech" by alteration. The name probably came from the idea of squirrels burying, or being associated with, nuts. In the cult jargon, Squirrel refers to someone who is too insane to follow Standard Tech. "Mayo was a Squirrel because he altered Source." May also be used as a verb denoting the action of subversion of Scientology "Technology," as "Koos has been squirreling auditing tech."
