Morning Jeffrey and fellow Planters. This Kathryn Joseph album is so hauntingly beautiful, isn't it?

Hello, Jeffrey, and hiya annie, SdeS and Mark R.. Yet another paradisaical day on the Bay of Fundy to complement your show.
  6:19am
Mark R.:

I've been listening to this Emily Jane White album quite a bit lately myself, even though it's a few years old. I think she's got an amazing voice, and her songwriting skills are first-rate.
  6:25am
Mark R.:

Sharon van Etten is another favorite I first heard on your show, Jeffrey.
  6:27am
josh:

I echo Mark R's comments about SVE. First heard on this show, now a huge fan.
  6:29am
Mark R.:

Josh, I thought Sharon's "I Don't Want to Let You Down" was one of the best records of '15 (actually I think it was an EP).
  6:30am
josh:

You know, I haven't actually heard that one! Maybe I can't call myself a huge fan after all. Hey, a new record shop has opened in my town this week, so maybe I can remedy this.
  6:31am
Mark R.:

I think you'll like it Josh! I might have a couple words of the title wrong, but you get the idea...

Necrophiliac Public Broadcasting? I'm glad they're there...
Glad to hear Lucindy's latest measures up! 'Car Wheels on a Gravel Road' (holycrow! - nearly 20 years old - !!) is one of those basically perfect definitive albums...& people like her & Richard Thompson have even come to the little NH town I'm in...All the online groups & networking for various Genres - & appreciating AltCountry / Americana can still be a lonely pursuit (she's in w/ the Songwriters really)...

she has never balked at putting her heart out there on her sleeve.. i love her raw candor

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yeah - she processes thru the work, both performs & writes great, has good bands...
...Now it's 'Countrypolitan' - & Jason Isbell & Sturgill Simpson get attention - 'cetera...

i had heard Lucinda's earlier stuff and it was tame...until i got a gander of that album she did, "World Without Tears"; i was blown away.. she sang my soul and i was hooked from thereon in
