Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:35am

Yes yes Joe...you are right to be cautious...to prevent what is called crazing, which are small cracks developing in plastics from exposure to improper or non compatible solvents, test on an expendable CD. Also beware of the circumference of the disk, which is a seal between the two halves of the thing. Test on an expendable one! Goo Gone will surely cause crazing in my opinion.

Thanks for all of your suggestions, guys! @Paul: We're starting to send out stuff this week, Paul. It's a long process here at volunteer-staffed WFMU.

As for Software for listening to FMU on line, is it for a phone? I usually use the pop up (it locks up periodically), for my phone use Neutron (it's an Android phone), haven't had playback issues with it and it sounds better than the direct link on the app (I go to the site and play the 128k MP3).

MattZ, no. i do consider desire his last tolerable album, but i only like a few tracks on it. (just the year prior he did blood on the tracks so there was still hope, after all.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am

coelacanth- i dont know, it just sounds like a giant cheesefest to me. I like cheesefests as much as the next guy, but desire never worked for me. And I think there are plenty of tolerable albums post-Desire, but probably not until Oh Mercy. I know that's a cliche at this point, but if you subscribe to the general theory, then I stop at BOTT, not Desire. Anyway, carry on everyone.

Matt, we're nearly on the same page. i did use the word "tolerable"! -and i know that could be because of familiarity, as i bought it upon release. i was quite young and every album was an investment, so i tried hard to like it (+ there was lots of hype about it at the time.)
