Listener comments!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06am Rory:

I would really love to see Circle live someday.
  12:09am Dean:

Does Secret Oyster count?
Avatar 12:09am Wm.:

This new live album is like a 70s Magma record, it's that good ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Rory:

Avatar 12:10am Wm.:

@Dean Denmark counts, yes, but I would have had to remember to bring it with me. I'll take a look here, good call, I just spaced on them when I was loading my satchel.
  12:11am JayD:

Digging this Circle track though it sounds like a trapezoid to me.
  12:15am Dean:

I'm just riffing. Supersister'd be nice, too. Meanwhile, this Circle is amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am Ike:

Avatar 12:16am Wm.:

No Secret Oyster here, next time for sure
Avatar 12:16am William:

@JayD youtu.be...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am Rory:

Wow! Fantastic start Wm. keep it up!
  12:26am Dean:

Brings me back to the days of KNAC's progressive rock programming.
  12:30am JayD:

Listening on headphones in the dark, this set is inducing all kinds of synesthesia related imaginings. Gorgeous.
Avatar 12:34am Wm.:

...I can almost hear a platter of smoked fish ...
  12:34am Irene:

These guys sure listened to a lot of old Genesis !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37am common:

strange and great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41am Rory:

Play some Pharaoh Overlord
Avatar 12:46am Wm.:

I'm partial to Rättö ja Lehtisalo, listen to them often @ home, but can never really work them into the "regular" Castle ....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01am sinister dexter:

loving this!
Avatar 1:02am dan in wisconsin:

This Jukka Tolonen shreds! Hi everyone.
  1:03am Ioannis:

Good morning from Greece people! I love contemporary Finnish Rock and Ektro's bands are superb!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12am Rory:

Need to get this Krokofant!
  1:33am brycepunk:

Sir W.M. ... It is always such a pleasure when I manage to catch some of your show.
Avatar 1:34am Wm.:

Avatar 1:35am soup and fog:

Something about that Hebosagil track reminded me of Kazuki Tomokawa. Great show Wm!
Avatar 1:39am Scraps deSelby:

Oh man, I missed Samla Mammas Manna
Avatar 1:42am Scraps deSelby:

(or Zamla Mammaz Manna. Or something)
Avatar 1:50am Scraps deSelby:

Me too!
  1:53am JayD:

Yeah Tarot Society shout out!
Avatar 1:55am Wm.:

@Scraps ... does the "deSelby" in your screen name come from the footnotes of The Third Policeman?
Avatar 1:57am Wm.:

Whup! Never mind...looks like it's your real surname. ...I just thought that would have been a remarkable coincidence as I use names from that novel's footnotes often, as Web aliases ...
Avatar 1:58am Scraps deSelby:

Well of course! Ahem. Yes. It's one of my favorite books.
Avatar 1:59am Wm.:

Such a wonderful book! I've used "hatchjaw" and "kraus" before, haha
Avatar 2:00am Scraps deSelby:

In fact, when I took the name, I looked around and disovered that, as I as I know, O'Brien made up the name.
Avatar 2:02am Scraps deSelby:

I used Hatchjaw as an internet name also.
Avatar 2:02am Wm.:

...Have you read the "Myles" stuff? O'Brien's columns & letters from Irish newspapers—? Hilarious!
Avatar 2:03am Wm.:

...great minds...
Avatar 2:04am Scraps deSelby:

Yep! In fact, I dug up two more obscure collections of Myles's stuff, other than TheBest of Myles
Avatar 2:05am Wm.:

Avatar 2:06am Wm.:

Once a year or so I try to read At Swim Two Birds, it's like his Ulysses. I don't think I'm enough of a hallucinating drunkard to grasp that one, haha
Avatar 2:07am Scraps deSelby:

And the awesome press Dalkey Archive has at least one of those collections in print.
Avatar 2:08am Wm.:

Yes, the Dalkey Archive! I'll have to look into it, thanks!!
Avatar 2:12am Scraps deSelby:

I love At Swim Two Birds. It's not thick. When you reach one of the thorny sections, it will pass soon! I think you would think it very funny if you press on... but I'm just a fan, and you already are a fan, so! Now I'm done.
Avatar 2:16am Scraps deSelby:

Yeah, Ibsen!
Avatar 2:27am Scraps deSelby:

Myles: Further Cuttings from Cruiskeen Lawn

Avatar 2:29am Scraps deSelby:

And one more, called At War

Avatar 2:29am Wm.:

Ah! Cheers! More cranial rattles in my future, thanks
Avatar 2:30am Scraps deSelby:

Now I'm really done!
Avatar 2:42am Scraps deSelby:

Jesus, I just read your bio. I have three Uncle Wiggly albums. Sometimes I put two or three songs from There Was An Elk on tape/cd mixes. Well, neat!
Avatar 2:45am Wm.:

Haha oh yes my secret past! That's great, always cheers me to meet anyone who knows/likes our records
Avatar 2:47am Wm.:

'twas another lifetime...Matt W. played U.W. a few weeks ago, a song from Across the Room & Into Your Lap... I was taken aback because I forget that we were good. I need to revisit our works, it's been a while for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48am Michael 98145:

Geez, i love this place. Music and books i've never heard of before. Scraps, i hope your rehab is going well.
Avatar 2:50am Scraps deSelby:

Thanks, Michael. Slow but my therapists say it's going well, so....
Avatar 2:53am Scraps deSelby:

I never saw Uncle Wiggly unfortunately. I saw two shows by Fly Ashtray, but that's probably not quite the same.
Avatar 2:56am Wm.:

...well at one point we had two members in common with Fly Ashtray, later one, James Kavoussi aka pHoaming Edison. There's definitely some style overlap; if anything, FA are a little more noodly/psych, definitely a 2-guitar band. UW, a bit more pointy/SST, but we shared company and records and influences for sure. Love those guys...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56am Michael 98145:

Well, take care. G'night.
Avatar 2:57am tracy:

thanks, Bergs.
Avatar 2:58am Wm.:

(With Uncle Wiggly you got me, and I'm pretty fucking alright.)
Avatar 2:58am Wm.:

"Bergs"! hahahahahaha
Avatar 2:59am tracy:

hahah yeah sorry, I guess mentally I refer to you as that. heavy on the errrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhss
Avatar 3:01am Scraps deSelby:

Awesome. See ya!
Avatar 2:07pm SiHV:

Listening. Love the Kebnekajse cover.
  3:34pm Rory:

This might be my top 10 favorite Castle show. Every song, every transition... You're a fucking genius Berger!
