Born in Puerto Rico (with Peruvian roots too), Abraham Gomez-Delgado is one of
the least conventional and most creative interpreters of the island's musical traditions. Abraham and his superb band Zemog el Gallo Bueno recently released volume 2 of their YoYouMeTú Trilogy, Jugamos With Humanos.
And Zemog has a big gig coming
up on Friday night June 10th at 9:30 at Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette St. in Lower Manhattan.
The Trilogy explores Zemog's search for Afinque - and tonight Abraham will explain just what that means, sample tracks from the trilogy and also put on
his guest-DJ hat to share his musical influences and inspirations.
TICKET GIVEAWAY TONIGHT!
We have two pairs of tickets available to see 47 Soul, a great new band from London via Palestine playing June 8 (Wed) at 7 pm at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker St.
