Hi, Ken! How's it going?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10am sashajones:

Bonjour, Pierre! How've you been?
  6:13am Mark R:

Morning Sasha--this Zooey track is lovely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15am ausmanx:

good evening all... just have to mention i was one of the lucky 70 people who had a bed to sleep overnight at the Sydney Opera House on friday for Max Richter's 8-hour event... truly staggering www.theguardian.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16am sashajones:

Hey, Mark! Congrats on the slot :)
Avatar 6:16am pierre:

very good, apart from a longing lower back pain that as been keeping me from weekly boxing lessons, which I miss a lot. Apart from that good good. The river Seins here in Paris has been having a huge flood also.
  6:17am Mark R:

Wow aus, that looks like it was amazing. Thanks so much, Sasha!
  6:18am ponychampion:

loving these tunes B~)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am Ken From Hyde Park:

I'm great this morning. The birds in Radhika Miller's track are a nice wake-up call.
  6:18am Mark R:

This Radhika Miller track is the absolute most perfect track for this time of day, isn't it?
Avatar 6:19am Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, Sasha, and time zone appropriate greetings to all.
@ausmanx, you tall poppy, you. Great envy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:20am annie:

good morning all... !! sad to hear about the paris flooding pierre.. you should volunteer to help them "hold safe" some paintngs from the louvre..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21am sashajones:

Hey and thanks, ponychampion!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22am sashajones:

pierre, sorry about your back pain! That's the worst. Cool that you box, though!
  6:22am Mark R:

I saw Jane Siberry in the 80s at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit--she was great! I'm glad to see she has a new album out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22am sashajones:

Morning, Sem Chumbo and annie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26am annie:

is today the california primary?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26am annie:

hi sasha!!
Avatar 6:26am pierre:

@annie : yeah the Louvre had to move everything, but yeah, I fear more for the poor people that have there house under water. Although I could see myself carry Mona Lisa.

@Sasha : merci :) it's a truly great sport.
  6:27am Mark R:

Yes Annie--NJ too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27am annie:

i'm praying for an ovewhelming win for bernie in both states.
  6:28am Mark R:

Yes, but I don't know if it's going to be enough. AP is reporting that Hillary already has enough delegates.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30am annie:

i don't believe them at all... and, if that's the case, i hope he goes in to the convention with all barrels loaded to contest this farce of an election season.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30am annie:

and i'll stop the politics talk...
  6:31am Jeffrey:

isn't it really a contested election with the superdelegates still technically up for grabs?
  6:32am Mark R:

I get that, but the most disastrous possible outcome is if Donald Trump somehow becomes president--I'm sorry, but that's 10 times worse than Hillary.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am sashajones:

I liked the way Daniel Jose Older put it: "I wanted Sanders to win bu the didn't. I want Trump to lose and I will act and vote accordingly. That's it. It won't be the first or last time I vote for a candidate I don't like or trust. But I'm a capricorn and we're pragmatists and we deal."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am sashajones:

I'm a Libra though ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am ausmanx:

many of us folks in foreign lands would much prefer you elected Trump. he'll repudiate free trade agreements, build walls, withdraw and leave us alone. and maybe make things so bad in the US that people will finally change the fundamentals. Clinton will be an unmitigated disaster as it will be business as usual, the business which is entrenching poverty and destroying the planet by stealth.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39am annie:

i thin k it annoys me the most that she's been promoted by the press as the nominee throughout all these primaries, especially in the states where there have been questionable results and voting issues, and the system does not investigate it. it's a corrupt system all-round. and i ten dot agree with you aus. if it came down to those two, i'd vote trump simply due to my disgust in that lying carpetbagger.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40am annie:

ok, now i'll stop
  6:40am Mark R:

Well I've stated my position and I will now respectfully withdraw. This music transcends all petty political squabbles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41am annie:

indubitably, mark^
  6:42am ponychampion:

just in case Hillary is reading i want her to know that I would have a beer with her :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42am ausmanx:

music is always political
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43am annie:

i should know better than to read my news feeds while i listen to radio, especially the fine music on fmu
Avatar 6:43am duke:

Good morning Sasha and all you listener types out there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47am sashajones:

Morning, duke!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am Dave in Vermont:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am annie:

i got the flyer in the mail for asheville lyric opera yesterday.. i am SO going to see "The Man of La Mancha' in July... one of my all-time top favorite musicals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55am annie:

see, that's the thing, even if the world is going to hell in that handbasket, there will always be broadway musicals and radio
  6:59am Jeffrey:

That sounds brilliant Annie. Have you seen any musicals recently you have particularly enjoyed?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03am annie:

the last live performance i saw was the ALO production of "Magic Flute"; i was so desparate to see it i offred a ticket to anyone who would come get me and drive me there. it was fabulous, and my companion totally grokked and dug the performance. i may have to do the same with MoLaM
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05am annie:

when i lived in NY, it was up near Glimmerglass and so i was able to see many an opera for cheap, a special special thing...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16am Dave in Vermont:

Before i saw the title i thought she was "flyin' outta South Philly"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18am sashajones:

Hahaha Dave, that's great and it's all I'm gonna hear now.
  7:21am judy from croton:

Good dong title, Dave.
Bobbie Gentry i love. Teeny bit flat on thr notes.
  7:22am Sturjon:

Love this song right now. Melancholy and hopeful all at once. Good movement to this next one.....how long. Beautiful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23am Dave in Vermont:

on that track there was a line towards the beginning of the song where you could hear Bobbie Gentry sort of spit into the mic -no one cut the high end out- great raw moment
  7:25am judy from croton:

Ooops. Meant song title.
  7:25am steve:

good morning Sasha and friends
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36am sashajones:

Morning, Steve!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16am Ken From Hyde Park:

In a mere 45 minutes, you'll meet your new neighbor, Sasha, although I guess it's in the other studio, actually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18am sashajones:

Haha yeah, it's kind of an Upstairs/Downstairs thing
Avatar 8:19am northguineahills:
