Listener comments!

  9:05am Jack:

Bob, I've been listening to your show for >30 years now, and every single time I hear your Hank Levine theme I start singing "Moon River". Every time.
  9:07am Jeff:

Listening on my iPhone in Paris with my Brazilian wife
Not your typical Jobim but a beautiful piece of music
Thanks Bob!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am Ken From Hyde Park:

@Jeff - How is Paris doing with the flooding that I've heard about? Are things returning to normal or is the worst yet to come?
  9:09am mike east:

Morning bob!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am melinda:

Nice Fleetwood Mac.
Avatar 9:13am SmokinJ:

Howdy bb & all!
  9:13am Jeff:

Ken, you wouldn't know there's anything going on if you didn't watch the news.
We're staying in Le Marais (a short distance from the Seine), and there's no sense of urgency here at all
  9:16am Jeff:

I don't mean to imply that nothing's happening, but we're not affected at all. Might take a walk over to the river later today to check it out.
  9:26am WilliamfromDumont:

That Monkees tune was great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26am Ken From Hyde Park:

Yeah, the internet news websites like to sensationalize things to generate traffic. Glad to hear that the situation is not so bad after all. Enjoy your time Paris, Jeff. Have you visited the catacombs? I was surprised how they just went on and on.
Avatar 9:31am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

One time I was @ the Louvre - was struck that here were rows & rows (& rows) of treasured period paintings - w/ rows after row of sweaty tourists like me passing thru them in August - w/ no controls or protections...

The new Monkees is not only good - it sounds like - The Monkees.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:32am Uncle Michael:

Greetings from Chicago. Wait...yes, Chicago!
  9:42am Guy Walker:

Kinda Mingus Black Saint, but once again, Bob, I haven't been tuning in with you for awhile, flip on your show and you give me goosebumnps while you blow my mind with this incredible piece Ravel would be knocked out by.
Avatar 9:44am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Jazz people always say Ellington is advanced as Jazz gets - his themes & how he Composed for - & w/ - the Big Band. It's a little pre-War for me to know it well & understand that deep down tho', so I'm always glad to hear more.
  9:52am Jack:

love the guitars
🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:52am tadpoles:

Thanks for the Green Manalishi Bob... A lost classic ... haven't heard it in ages.
Cheers.
  9:53am Jeff:

In Jan 1973, I was a "visiting" student at SUNY Binghamton. The week after I arrived, I saw Duke Ellington and his Orchestra at the women's gym. The girl I took and me might have been the only students there (it was full of adults from town-not hip enough for my fellow hippies at school).
Definitely in my top ten of all time greatest live shows!
  9:55am Guy Walker:

Phone is ringing, stuff outside, Bob, I missed who died yesterday?
  10:45am Stuart Rose:

I always love how Bob travels from one genre to another, but sometimes it's best to settle in with an artist for a nice long set.
That Swarbuck/ Fairport tribute set was a pleasure.
  10:58am Dennis Diken:

great show Bob!
