Jim's show today was epic. i have to set aside a chunk of time someday to listen to the archive.

Guten TZAG Scott and listeners. I got distracted by Aesop Rock's cat video and missed Jim Price

Good strong start, Scott. Each track so far has prompted me to stop and listen more closely.

@Wild Neil: not hooligan-scale, but aggressive. Drunk guys annoying fans of other teams, hitting on women and puking around. Add to that "muslims" who mix fasting with binge drinking. Not a pretty sight

@Wild Neil: Not sensitive? It does capture a lot of the cultural issue here. Second/third generation arabs are rejected by everyone. My brand of assholes and those from their (grand)parents countries
Avatar 3:59pm
Wild Neil:

I was worried my stupid joke would provoke a shitstorm of controversy. Glad it was ignored. Phew. So these people are not truly French nor Algerian or wherever they are from-they are caught in the middle?
Avatar 4:07pm
Cecile:

depending on who you talk to, the Koran doesn't necessarily ban alcohol. It, however, looks askance at sloppy public drunkenness.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm
fred:

I'm biased there (I have Tunisian ancestors), but I say they're truly French. Most of my compatriots don't agree, which is why your shame at electing Trump will be obliterated by our electing Le Pen. Those of Algerian descent are not welcome in Algeria, they're seen as spoiled bullies who wouldn't last a day there on their own. They wish there was a middle way, there's none. They're French, and our only hope is for all of us to embrace that
Avatar 4:08pm

@Fred-oh, I am a Catholic nationalist proud to vote for Donald Trump. But I do not engage in ad-hominem attacks.
@Cecile-beating Hillary will be another whole ball of wax compared to beating a field of 17 other Rebpublican candidates. I think this election will be extremely vigorous...and hopefully nobody gets murdered... Trump does have a problem self-monitoring what he says, sometimes I think he is his own worst enemy.

Avatar 4:26pm

@Jake-not seeking to proseltyze, merely state facts of what I believe. A gentlemen mentioned shame, and I said I am not ashamed. I think trolling involves much more than that. Just stating another point of view exists-and that I subscribe to it- is not trolling.
