Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Amanda:

Hi LJ, Rich, KP... + everyone! My show and welcome to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Jeff Golick:

Some days you're the turtle, and others, the tomato. Hi, Amanda, and radio friends.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Stevel:

Turtle torment is making me hungry.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Amanda:

Tomato slices all around!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Amanda:

Speaking of "Party Boy," it's that time of year: watch the fake trailer for the fake movie POWDER 2: POWDER 2 THE PEOPLE. www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Greg from ZONE 5:

Yo Am Nazz!
Avatar 12:20pm ndbob:

afternoon Amanda and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm listener james from westwood:

HFS that POWDER 2 trailer! It's like every 80s boob comedy rolled in one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm Amanda:

Heya @Greg! Thanks again for hanging out on Friday! And hey @ndbob!

@James, I know... right? It's one of my favorite things that has ever graced the internet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Greg from ZONE 5:

SO much fun! Spent Saturday hungover at a 1-year old's birthday party…
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Sean from Bridgeport:

Wow. The Powder 2 trailer is really something else. THANK YOU!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Amanda:

@Sean much obliged. I believe everyone should know about it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Ken From Hyde Park:

That'll learn 'em to bust Lisa's tomater!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Amanda:

@Ken HP Over and under, in and out... that's what shoe-tying's all about.

My 10CC knowledge is very thin, so I am happy to be educated musically!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm Amanda:

10cc are very worth your time. Super ironic/saucy and musically gorgeous. Lead songwriter Graham Gouldman also wrote "Bus Stop" for the Hollies when he was a teen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm listener james from westwood:

Outstanding. WFMU is always aces for me w/ what I consider my iceberg bands: I know the hits but there's so much waiting below the surface. One big example for me besides 10CC has been WFMU's airplay of Thin Lizzy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm listener james from westwood:

Grace! A fave of mine and my mom's. I think we both first encountered her thru Conan the Destroyer. And then we found there was music, too!!
Avatar 1:15pm geezerette:

Once, on walk in the high desert,in spring when it's not 110 degrees,we watched a desert tortoise enjoying a lunch of wildflowers. It was munching v-e-r-r-r-r-r-y s-l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w-ly and it's chin was covered with bright yellow pollen. Adorable!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm Amanda:

@geezerette, that is so great! Tortoises are so gentle and sweet... some of my fav creatures!
Avatar 1:21pm geezerette:

Mine too Amanda. :)
  1:22pm David W & Ruth:

Scrambling a bit here in Ridgewood, but enjoying you as we trip over each other!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Amanda:

That's a dance I'd like to see. The best work is that which is done at the last minute... :-)
Avatar 1:23pm steve:

hi Amanda... i was just going through my zine shelf and rediscovered Nazario Zineario #1! i like it, i reread the whole thing. are there any other issues?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm listener james from westwood:

"I need a price check on TWO GRAPES."
  1:31pm famous original icecreamwolf:

I ran into a sleeping turtle on my walk into town last week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Greg from ZONE 5:

Yeah, you heard me, James from Westwood. Two grapes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm listener james from westwood:

Twisty mouth! May have debuted in his previous Sunday School appearance, IIRC. That one I GIFfed: twitter.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Ken From Hyde Park:

About 25 years ago, I went to CA to visit a friend. He had some dirt bikes and we were out in the desert near Helenville. I came around a corner and spotted a tortoise beside the trail. I would've loved to stop & look, but I had to keep going. Before cell phones, it was easier to get lost.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Ken From Hyde Park:

The "So You've Decided to Steal Cable" pamphlet!
Avatar 1:39pm ndbob:

My strangest experience at the zoo was at the National Zoo in DC - two turtles were starting to mare when another male challenged the mating male - about twenty minutes of challenges and counter challenges until the challenging male retreated
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm listener james from westwood:

ndbob, I too caught some turtles in the mood @ the National Zoo, but in my case there had been a clear victor in the race to, er, the top.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm Greg from ZONE 5:

"The foot has spoken."
Avatar 1:43pm ndbob:

@James - really interesting - that's the only time I've ever seen anything like that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm Ken From Hyde Park:

News of the death of Scotty Moore, the guitarist in Elvis' band.
  1:48pm Rich in NC:

as usual it has been a real fun show----thank you Amanda
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm listener james from westwood:

Avatar 1:49pm geezerette:

Amanda you're a blast!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm Jeff Golick:

What are these "short songs" you speak of?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Jeff Golick:

There is a LOT to read about that Born Bad/Space Oddities LP here: shop.bornbadrecords.net...
Avatar 1:53pm geezerette:

Imagining tortoises sing this duet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm Amanda:

Ah, thanks Jeff! Looks like I was wrong about the time period.
