Listener comments!

JakeGould:

So you are unhappy that the $4.2 billion PATH station is NOT conveniently connected to the NYC MTA stop at Chambers Street?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm
Becky:

THEY COULD PUT UP A SIGN
  8:08pm
JakeGould:

@Becky: Ha! A sign? That would get in the way of the HUGE American flag to remind you—as you get off the PATH train—that you are in America. And might distract you from all of those, “Obey what we say…” audio announcements that repeat endlessly on the acoustically perfect PA system…

*rant on* Welcome to the artisanal belly of the 9-11 pork barrel. *rant off*

JakeGould:

Geez. I’m like the only person here. Keep on playing the soothing tunes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm
Becky:

@Jake I think Ken had to turn off the comments on the last show for bad behavior.
  8:12pm
JakeGould:

@Becky: I’m a good boy!

Good evening, Becky, honkers and tonkers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm
dale:

Ken From Hyde Park:

On the subject of mass transportation, I see that MetroNorth has an eticket app now. No more having to purchase paper tickets from kiosks. Not that I ride the train very often, anyhow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm
Becky:

@dale what about Canada?
Avatar 8:28pm
Mailman Tom:

I still use cash
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
dale:

canada is only messy - not dirty.
Avatar 8:29pm
Marc Francis:

I miss that once every few months Metro North ride up to Cold Spring.
Avatar 8:30pm
Marc Francis:

Quebec is dirty. The rest of Canada is messy.
  8:39pm
CT:

...and Montreal is the dirtiest
  8:39pm
John in Cold Spring:

I had difficulty finding the 14th & 6th PATH entrance July 4; returned via WTC station cause the map said you can transfer to like 9 subway lines - yeah, way other end of the cathedral station they built, and through long corridors . . . How does Metro-North punch your phone ticket just once when you transfer at Croton?

My vent is Springfield NJ not refunding the $5 entry fee "donation" when rain shut down their concert and fireworks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
Becky:

Are wet fireworks non-refundable?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm
dale:

put wet fireworks in the microwave on 80% for three minutes and we'll see what happens.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
dale:

did the people who wrote see see rider get a cut from the family feud folks?
  8:46pm
JakeGould:

Apropos to fireworks, this "What Just Happened" firework is stunning. And the packaging is even more amazing. https://www.jakesfireworks.com/fireworks/fountains/what-just-happened/10968/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48pm
Becky:

@dale - Chuck Willis died in the 50s. So I kinda doubt it.
  8:48pm
John in Cold Spring:

Cold Spring just installed parking meters - businesses and home owners instead fleecing residents who can't afford driveways
  8:55pm
Paul:

Howdy--I listen every Wednesday when I'm grilling, which is happening tonight. Coming in strong on WMFU Mt Hope. Great show--I agree about the broken homes 45s but yeah, I listen to them just the same. Love that Canadian rocker-cum-Hank tune!
