Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16pm coelacanth:

Oneida's Great! i'm not happy my local dive has removed most oneida (including the whole "story of O" album, which i've played a lot) from the jukebox. what the fuck!
  9:22pm JakeGould:

@coelacanth: That sucks. Maybe the bar has some beef with Oneida?

Screaming Tribesmen!
  11:39pm JB:

Incredible show this week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40pm mariano:

I think it was on last week's show that some other child of the 80s and I basically commented "How did we miss so much good stuff the first time around?" Especially since I prided myself on knowing what was going on musically.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42pm Bootsie:

I'll definitely be having another listen via the archives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45pm mariano:

Haha! I was thinking to myself before looking at the track listing "She sounds like an alterna-Stevie Nicks!" Gotta say I'm not very familiar with B-N, it's a pleasant surprise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm Michael 98145:

@mariano, it's because radio lacked so much
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm mariano:

@Michael 98145: that's true, plus no web or YouTube, back then the only hope was a good independent record store, and what you could order through zine, but even with that it was much easier to miss things. I miss the feel of the 80s alternative music scene, when it was felt like some out-of-the-way cool little club few people knew about, but I really love having access to so much music now because of the web.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm DJ PB:

Just about ready to wrap it up. Thanks for listening and commenting! Evan will be back next week.

  11:54pm Dean:

Is the Rob to whom you're saying hi the band's drummer? Former hubby of Lois? If so, "Hi, Lois." I used to ride home from downtown LA on the bus with her?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55pm mariano:

Thanks DJ PB: really been digging the shows, great selection!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm Michael 98145:

@mariano, yup. There was the Village Voice, NME, and college radio. Not a hell of a lot else.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01am mariano:

Maximum Rock n' Roll!
  6:37pm Ralph Goldenmouth:

Hey Paul! Long time, no e-see. Excellent show, as usual.
