Rock and Roll is alive and well in this corner of the world
  3:35pm JC Jenny:

Billy Kelly, could you do a shout out to Buzz Cartier, who needs our thoughts and prayers right now? He's possibly your biggest fan, and always promotes your show. He's in a bad way right now, and it would mean a lot. Thank you.

Best version of a Neil Diamond write - total props to 'Thuh Monkees' - *whoever* that was that day in the studio...

@JC Jenny:
Sorry Jenny, as bs bob stated, Mr. Kelly doesn't read comments until after the show as he's busy compiling and editing the playlist for later posting. I'm sure all listeners send their best wishes out to Buzz Cartier whether they know him or not since we're all in this same sinking boat together.

PARTY ON GARTH
  1:12am John from CDA:

Polka King Frankie and Weird Al are not related.
  9:58am champagne bubbles bob:

The Spanky McFarlane Mamas & Papas did a Marty Markowitz show before my learning of his shows . . . The Mamas & The Papas and The Left Banke passed on “Sunday Will Never Be the Same,” so producers gave SPANKY & OUR GANG use of Barry McGuire's backing track . . . The ham sandwich obit on the radio at the time was so mean: Mama Cass Elliot was born Ellen Cohen.
JOHNNY FORTUNE's “Dragster” solves Rex's January 9 unknown mystery instrumental. Appreciate the fine instrumentals and car songs!
“The KNIGHTS were another Gary Usher studio concoction churned out under different group names using veteran L.A. session players and often featuring the vocals of Chuck Girard.”
  9:58am John McLaughlin, "The McLaughlin GrouP":

“Do you think the moose are attracted to B.O.S.T.O.N. because the moose are slightly, more than slightly slow-witted and they want a comfortable millieu in which to find themselves where they won't be discriminated against?”
