Good morning Nate and all

Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, Nate. Hello, fred.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30am
Nate K.:

Morning, Sem and Fred. And to the rest of the early risers and the didn't-go-to-sleepers . . . and, er, those of you up a perfectly reasonable hour, too.

duke:

Morning Nate, Sam, fred and burners everywhere

...Do bats eat cats? Do cats eat bats? As Alice didn't know the answer to either one...

Cee:

yeah nate. great start to the day as always! happy fall y'all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56am
Nate K.:

Thanks, Cee.

Dave in Vermont:

tuned in
thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17am
Sem Chumbo:

Burn it Down definitely NOT a breakfast for failures.
Running hot this AM, Nate!

Jeff from Rahway:

I had a wet dog nose to my face @ 6:30 this morning. I figured it's s great time as always to tune in.

fred:

@Sem Chumbo: I've just started reading Invisible Man, and I love Ellison's flow
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37am
Nate K.:

Sports talk! Cover your ears, folks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38am
Dave in Vermont:

that's when i became a basketball fan too, Nate

WO Town Wick:

Can't believe I am hearing praises sung for the Grizz and Z-Bo on a morning WFMU show. What a world! Thanks for the interview -- that was cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40am
Nate K.:

@Dave, they were the best. I'll occasionally watch Starks's dunk over Jordan to get me through a rough day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am
Sem Chumbo:

@ 7:25 fred: just back from a quick tour of the garden; the great ones, in my opinion, have an inexplicable magic in how they tell a story. Is mesmerizing still a telling word? 'cause its still a feeling I love in good storytelling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am
fred:

@Sem Chumbo: There's a new Colson Whitehead book out. I need to read this. He might be my fave living author. Do you know/like him?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am
Dave in Vermont:

just watched it Nate- what a moment
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am
Sem Chumbo:

New name to me, fred, but on your opinion will look into his work. Thanks, hate to get caught in a reading rut.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am
Sem Chumbo:

I see my library has several C. Whitehead titles.I'll start with SAG HARBOUR, I guess, and move forward in time.
Avatar 8:09am
doncaballero:

Already loving these guys 30 seconds in! Thanks Nate, yet again, for turning me on!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09am
fred:

@Sem: Sag Harbor is a nice, lighthearted place to start, with a few music references to boot. I still like John Henry Days better than The Intuitionist, but that's probably because of my favoring style over story
  8:14am
KP:

Ewing/Starks made me stop being a Knick fan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15am
Nate K.:

KP, I'm going to request that you explain. They weren't Clyde and Willis Reed, but they were all heart.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19am
Nate K.:

@Don, glad to hear it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Ah, nice. Been wating all week for Chook Race.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23am
fred:

Chook Race have that addictive pop feel without feeling too sugary. Nicely done (and Mike Sin did a fine job capturing it)
  8:23am
Will:

Definitely hearing some Bats and some Go-Betweens in the Chook Race. And she called you "Nate The K" too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25am
Nate K.:

@Will, indeed she did. I support the decision.
  8:26am
Will:

So does Murray (from the beyond)!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31am
fred:

I received a warped LP yesterday. Does anyone has advice as to how I could get it in playing shape?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am
fred:

Those special kids get a clicky-star from me!
  8:49am
KP:

That team was an opposite of what made the Knicks, smarts and unselfishness. The play doomed them perfectly illustrates that. Starks passes, Knicks are champs. Starks does not pass.
  8:51am
KP:

I received a cd that was broken and blank. I had to pay postage to return it so I got like six bucks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am
Sem Chumbo:

What a good time thus morning, Nate; Chook Race a fine surprise. See you, and all, next time here inside the ring of fire.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57am
fred:

@KP: I bought it to support them, asking them for another copy would defeat the purpose
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Thx NateK
- & Chook Race !
