The Supermarket Blues song part about the wrong food in the wrong can reminds me of a story my mom once told me about one of my relatives from Wheeling WV who had a store on Wheeling Island. The Ohio had one of its floods and the store was badly flooded and many of the canned goods lost their paper labels. Being the depression era WV, nobody was going to throw them away so he sold the unlabeled cans as is as discounted ‘mystery’ goods to customers who gladly bought them for cheap. Guess it worked out.

I remember working at a record store circa '86 where we had stuff like Bathory that just sat there. All the metalheads wanted more mainstream stuff - they thought Metallica was pretty bold. If only I could have predicted the future, I would have bought those records all up.
