NS even did a live broadcast from the settlements in Hebron! His predecessor had Meir Kahane (serious hate-monger) in the studio...that was decades ago, but still. The line that JM was providing a service to "the Jewish community" is totally disingenous. I know many people in the wider Jewish community that would be horrified by JM in the AM's political leanings. It's been providing a service to the hardline pro-Zionist sector of the Jewish community. I'm glad it's leaving FMU, and it'll be interesting to see how this affects things financially (Can the station survive without it? We'll see...)

I basically empty my account every marathon, so every dollar (or euro) counts

	11:12am Cecile: they weren't in the room. My husband and I were going kind of stir crazy. I think if they would have heard us, they would have done that to us, too.
	11:13am βrian: After my surgery, oh how I lauded Dilaudid!
	♥ 11:13am fred: I was told I'd have a morphine pump after the surgery. That scares me almost as much as the surgery itself. A friend got in a bad addiction place from that
	11:15am Cecile: fred, if you monitor it carefully, you should be OK. If you are in actual physical pain, painkillers will help you heal. It's just in the state afterward where you have to be very careful.
	11:16am βrian: A friend with a broken leg was on a morphine drip. We were amazed that she still spoke at nearly 250 w.p.m. Wow.
	11:16am jim m: I had surgery and I couldn't get Gang of Four's 'Paralyzed' out of my head, 'I was good at what I did'.
	11:18am βrian: F**king gorgeous weather on the isthmus today, by the way. Blue skies, light breeze ...
	♥ 11:19am fred: My plan is to only use it if I need it to sleep. But to paraphrase Tyson said, you only have a plan until you get punched in the face. I'm probably vulnerable to addiction, so I'm scared of this
	11:20am Cecile: fred. Just take it minute by minute. You will want to sleep a lot. But also painkillers make it possible for you to eat, drink and move around, all essential to recovery.
	11:21am Cecile: I think it's good though that you are talking through your worries. That means you thought about it. And you'll be vigilant.
	11:23am βrian: I would also suggest having a cat nearby. They've done wonders for me when recovering.

NS even did a live broadcast from the settlements in Hebron! His predecessor had Meir Kahane (serious hate-monger) in the studio...that was decades ago, but still. The line that JM was providing a service to "the Jewish community" is totally disingenous. I know many people in the wider Jewish community that would be horrified by JM in the AM's political leanings. It's been providing a service to the hardline pro-Zionist sector of the Jewish community. I'm glad it's leaving FMU, and it'll be interesting to see how this affects things financially (Can the station survive without it? We'll see...)

	11:15am Cecile: fred, if you monitor it carefully, you should be OK. If you are in actual physical pain, painkillers will help you heal. It's just in the state afterward where you have to be very careful.
