(More info...)
Peter Wolf
returns to The Todd-O-Phonic Todd Show to discuss his amazing new memoir, "Waiting on the Moon: Artists, Poets, Drifters, Grifters and Goddesses" (Little, Brown). Best known as the singer of The J. Geils Band, Peter has led an incredible life. His time spent as a DJ in Boston was pivotal to his sensational career.
The legendary Swamp Dogg (aka Jerry Williams) discusses the soon-to-be classic film, "Swamp Dogg Gets His Pool Painted" (Magnolia Pictures). The film features Swamp Dogg and his "bachelor pad of aging musicians" painting his pool alongside the likes of Mike Judge, Jenny Lewis, John Prine and Tom Kenny while discussing the trials and tribulations of the music industry. Don't miss the Monty Hall screening on Sunday May 4th.
Jon Savage makes a return engagement to The Todd-O-Phonic Todd show to talk about his latest book, "The Secret Public: How Music Moved Queer Culture from the Margins to the Mainstream" (Liveright). With books such as "England's Dreaming", Jon has established himself as one of the leading authors on music and popular culture and this fascinating study only further enhances his reputation.

John will be performing at The Knockdown Center on October 9th and 10th.
November 5, 2016: Good Times Callin' with Roy Loney
Toddophonic® is not for everyone. Possible side effects may include heightened euphoria, spasmodic dancing, and uncontrollable Discogs buying sprees. If symptons persist, consult the WFMU archives.
N.B. to Jack's friends: if you visit, he has an overabundance of candy and cookies cluttering his counter space. There's also an entire unopened pecan coffee cake. I hope this provides additional incentive to stop in and interfere with Jack's overabundant "quiet time."

Glad the Groovies stuck to being a remarkable band.
Thx for parting the curtain for a glimpse into an incomparable place & time - priceless reminiscence (who knows more than that one Mystery Trend side, for instance?)...
Love that about the Groovies being if the Stones were disciples of Sun instead of Chess. I honestly picked up more on 'Shake Some Action' Groovies - & what I've tended to pair them w/ - in terms of playing CDs together when I worked a shop, or having a drink & strumming guitar - is actually stuff like The Smithereens...
This is a treat - Thx Todd & Mr. Loney !
