Anyone got a spare 3 and half million, so I can buy this Floyd set?

As a huge Jr. Parker fan I have to say the Beatles tracks he covered are among the most bizarre "what were they thinking?" moments in record biz history. The original LP also has covers of Taxman and Lady Madonna.

No, this is a non mashed track. "Embryo". But I've NEVER heard it before. And I've heard many. Maybe "unauthorized". We, some call them "bootleg". Rare recording.

Release fave tracks from CD-Boxes on expensive LPs.

Guido, back in my misspent youth boots were rather more interesting even if the quality (on poorly pressed vinyl) was usually pathetic.

I have so many Floyd boots I don't know what I have and don't have anymore. It seems with the release of "The Early Years" they tapped into those same sources. And finally we'll have high fidelity versions of them. Not that the versions we had were bad - it is just obvious that they're not directly from the tapes in the vault. The problem now is, how MUCH are they going to release?! Oh, and I just ordered the 2xCD Early years. I wish it was available on vinyl, too. Maybe it is but I haven't seen it yet. .
Peace in,
Tom

Tom, the bootleg I have with that Embryo was called Libest Spacement Monitor from the 70's. Live on John Peels BBC show.

Seems like all the record companies are paying attention to the 50 year public domain rule in Europe so we'll see plenty more late 60s archival stuff flooding the market like this Floyd stuff and the recent Dylan box. I won't live long enough to listen to all of this anyway.

"Slacks" is how Aunt Agnes says pants.

Unless Aunt Agnes is British. Because over there, pants means underpants, and trousers is the right word for what you mean by pants. Or slacks. Pants also means bad, so if I were mean and English I'd say this show is pants. Except it isn't.

Got it? Good.
