@chris-in-space: I didn't mean anything R-rated by that statement, just that efd plays Canadian artists like he's a '70s Toronto DJ at 4 am:

  9:20pm
P-90:

...and I'm thinking "Beaver Bin? Wasn't that a regular feature in the old Penthouse magazine...?"

It's not my fault that particular radio jargon sounds like the name of a stripper bar in Windsor.

@Gaylord Cool link! I love it. And just so ya know, my "hey-ohh" was intended to sound like Ed McMahon

I think they just changed the name of the field that the Oregon State Beavers play on from that a few years back.

Lyle:

David Bowie. I shared a stage with him back around 1981. I was playing third trombone for Jack Wagner, who was trying to parlay his TV success (General Hospital) into a music career. We opened a few shows for Bowie on his Scared Monster tour. I could tell right away he didn't like us. Fancy was the word he used. "I don't fancy them." Still, he was a gentleman and he would nod as he passed and smile. He gave us all chromium Mylar™ balloons on our final night, and a signed card with many unique personalizations. That really touched Jack. Best of all, he invited us allonstage for his encore, a rousing version of Rebel Rebel in Eb, as I recall. Jack borrowed my leather coat and he swung it over his shoulder as Elvis might have. It seemed to please David.

Lyle:

Sorry for my typos. My fingers get so stiff with this colder weather.

I just read a January fb post from Bob George, and how David Bowie was sooo nice at an Archive of Contemporary Music sale party. (Note- Archive has its biannual sale now, thru December 18, in TriBeCa)
