The Chocolate Watchband is an American garage rock band that was based in San Jose, California. The band, formed in 1965, went through several lineup changes during its existence, but developed a sound heavily influenced by the Small Faces and The Rolling Stones. Combining typical psychedelic and garage rock components, the band's sound was marked by David Aguilar's lead vocals, and experimental intensity of an early protopunk band. The band's rebellious musical posture, combine with psychedelic-inspired guitar distortions and keyboards, made them one of the harder-edged groups of the period.

Dantalian's Chariot was a British psychedelic rock band formed in 1967,[1] led by keyboardist and bandleader Zoot Money, and also featuring Andy Summers (later of The Police).[2] They are best remembered for their single "Madman Running Through the Fields",[3] and for their live performances, which featured early psychedelic light shows.[4] The band would all wear white robes and kaftans in concert, with all of their equipment painted white, to heighten the effect of these light shows.[4] The group disbanded in April 1968,[5] with Summers going on to join the Soft Machine and Money joining Eric Burdon & The Animals.

' Alice Cooper claimed he was the inspiration for the line "Woke up this morning and I got myself a beer", as stated on his Planet Rock morning show. According to the book, Light My Fire by Ray Manzarek, a bandmate of Morrison's, the song refers to Morrison's waking after an alleged three weeks of drug-induced sleep and the actual lyric sung is "woke up this morning and I got myself a beard". '
I love the doors - like Iggy, Alice, Bowie, the Bunnymen, Mazzy Star & so on do. I'm good w/ their company...
