Rev, i'm sure Lennon was talking about the City, but my part of the state is known for sightings. i've experienced 3 or 4, one with someone who unequivocally did not believe in UFOs. a city guest had a close encounter too!

I think many have seen lights they can't I.D.
...I was in a hot tub w/ a few others in SoCal (disqualified already, right?) - not in a Town even but a bit out; there are Bases out there - what have you...
A large very dark object w/ lights passed over - & over - like the big ship beginning of 'Star Wars' - very near @ low altitude...& *didn't make a damned sound*.

The 'military craft' flew away. I definitely had stress-related dreams after the election, they were dystopian in nature. One involved driving through a drought-stricken area with an exotic animal petting zoo, but the animals were on their last legs.

Yes, the 'Munks (as Lou & John called them) were foundational for the Velvets. The reason they were off the charts after a rousing start in the late '50s is that Simon developed a crippling smack habit. He was in and out of rehab, and the brothers struggled to carry on without him. Ron Dante often subbed for Simon under the pseud "Charlie Chipmunk." Ask Lyle about this.

There was originally a fourth brother in the group, Hiram. They abused him mercilessly, always referred to him as "Zeppo Chipmunk." He finally quit in disgust, tried going solo, failed, attempted suicide, wound up in a monastery.
