Alison Porchnik:

Speaking of meat hegemonies, why do so many men prefer cooking and eating their poultry in bland, boneless all-white meat form? Everyone knows bone-in dark meat is better, even if it's messier. And no, I'm not speaking euphemistically.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm

that seems like a sexist comment. I do like the breast meat on a rotisserie chicken bought from the supermarket tho

I'm a thigh person. More meat and less connective tissue than the legs. I love crispy skin too but whenever I eat it I think about the fact that I'm eating someone's skin and yeah, it weirds me out. But then I go back to eating it. My mom likes necks and wings. I believe it's epigenetic.

Wait, I didn't say I don't like Band of Horses! Did I? I like Band of Horses. Or that song was fine anyway. Midlake, OTOH, is severely milquetoast. Sad! But BoH is perfectly fine. That followed by Siouxsie, nice segue. Sounded like a real modern rock station for a sec there! Is Arcade Fire's new one feat. Mavis Staples coming up next?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm

Ike, you surprise me. Dislike Midlake, like BoH. Aren't these bands cut from the same bland fabric? (Mind you, it's a blandness I like, as opposed to flavorlessness I detest.)
