yeah, most of Boston is triple deckers outside of the main urban core. Hyde Park has some more variety though, it was farm houses and summer homes early on and has more industrial stuff mixed in. Not gentrified like the rest of this town

I love these tracks that sound like southern blues guitar!
Absolutely fascinating: The pre-Slavery African Blues roots. Before European instruments, before European influence...& before the *experience* of Slavery. But - the retentions into 'American' Music despite it - incredible awesome thing...
- & then - Guitar from a different continent - from Traditions of different stringed instruments like kora - & different rhythmic arrangements as ensembles
...& then of course it's all echoed back one way & then the other...

Fascinating stuff, Rev Rabbit--that's why that Ali Farke Toure-Ry Cooder album was so beautiful.
On the gentrifyin' -- I recently saw a video pitch for a Durham NC theater company and with hand-penned pages held up for the camera they make their plea, citing gentrification that pushes artists out. I was struck by the shared and familiar dynamic at such a fairly random pin on the map....so apparent where I live and I suppose all over ev'vy place in all kinds of cities.
Pittsburgh's water was discovered today to be "insufficiently disinfected" and we are now under a "flush and boil" advisory. Every store within 10 miles of my house is out of water. Please don't make me thirsty.
