The droning rhythm guitar reminds me of the Velvet Underground.

With that Monoplaisir track, I thought I was listening to McKendree Spring"s "I Should've Known." Would've been a good segue I think. Lobo Loco's good too. I suppose it's too late for the suggestion, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm
Passaic River Blues:

@CDT: I'll have to check out that McKendree Spring song because the Monplaisir track was gorgeous.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm
Liz Berg:

This Adrian Carter track is John Carpenter-esque, no?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm

It tis. And it tis diggable.

@Pacific: Your comment is exactly what this message board is all about. Thank you! Yes, after Liz's show is over, what you want to do is open two browsers and go back to the archives with each then cue up the Monplaisir track on one browser and the the McKendree Spring track on the second, then listen to each in succession. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The MS track could be a top ten favorite song. The hook lyric is TOO beautiful! Hope it works for you.

This music is really cool but you're going to regret it when you have to pronounce some of these goddamn tongue-twister names later. You'll be wishing you'd just played some John Smith and Mary Higgins records.
