Although intending to avoid unnecessary 'contact' while carefully stalking his victim, Bono is recognized by an old fellow from the orphanage, whose calm and unambitious citizen's life and happy marriage contrast heavily with Bono's solitary and haunted existence. Billy Jam:

Today's show, in the true "freeform" tradition of WFMU (#BestDamnStation), got switched up at last minute. Had a whole SUW ReMIX and stack of new 2017 hip-hop (digital) singles ready to play along with something off the new Livehuman album "scratchBop" of which I played one song last week - but upon relistening to the album in full + stumbling across and viewing for first time the 1961 Allen Baron directed film "Blast of Silence" - felt that A: the Livehuman album should be played in full or close to it + B: the two pieces of art the film and the live Livehuman album captured the same vibe (at least in my head) so decided to put the two together. Hence this week's show is all but the one song played last week of the brand new Livehuman (feat. DJ Quest, percussionist Albert Mathias, & bassist Andrew Kushin) album "scratchBop" (available for sale online livehuman.bandcamp.com...) plus edited segments from the film "Blast of Silence" (which can currently be found on YouTube or bought on DVD via Critereon) - I hope you agree and enjoy this one hour show. Thanks for supporting WFMU which has its annual fundraising 2017 Marathon coming up in 2 weeks time - Thanks also to Bronwyn B for doing board-op duties today.
