I've been hearing the term "Epic Blunder" a lot since last night. Possibly a good name for a band and if not, then certainly a good name for an album.

Agreed that Barbarella is super lame. They needed to let Jane Fonda kick some ass, but nope! Of its time, and its time was totally pfffft.

I wouldn't say it's supposed to be awful. It's supposed to be softcore porn. But it is significant in not shaming or punishing Barbarella for her sexual agency.

Okay, you guys are making me feel old. I remember the original release of "Barbarella" and all the fuss over it. Who knew then how much more of a fuss Jane Fonda would come to kick up in the country?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm
Scott Williams:

Ernie Anastos had something to say about that scene in Pink Flamingos
  4:12pm
River:

What confuses me about Pink Flamingos is about how the final scene is always what people talk about, as though that's the most shocking and outrageous bit. Almost like they haven't seen it...
  4:13pm
JakeGould:

"Pink Flamingos" is a horrible film. But the scenes are memorable. John Water's films are spectacles, not bibles.

And "Barbarella" is not boring. It's tedious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm
Scott Williams:

yeah, the chicken scene was the worst. Divine had a say in eating dogshit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm
Scott Williams:

a fine distinction, JakeGould!
  4:16pm

Well, the crew ate the chicken apparently. I guess that asks interesting questions about the way we apply ethics to animal lives.
