Thank you Eiderdown, and all you pre-Marathon pledgers. You're heroes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am
Jeffrey Davison:

We'll be giving away, as the first offering, Jack Rose, "I Do Play Rock and Roll". Guitar god, first rank musician, and you should have everything that he recorded, if at all possible...
  12:17am
brycepunk1:

Loved the Viola Lee Blues!

Anybody know where my wallet is?
  12:26am
james f:

evenin everybody!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am
(Bad) Ike:

Wow that Hill Andon was fabulous! They were showing those Dead ding-dongs how it's done, sorry! Maybe their fingers couldn't reach their instruments properly because their heads were so far up in the clouds. Meaning they were too high to play right. High. On marijuana. BRING IT HIPPIES! Pledge to make me shut up! (J/K, I love you all.)
  12:27am
Eric Hat:

Can only really hear one Jeff through the speakers...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am
Jeffrey Davison:

rw, your wallet is where you left it... and welcome [Bad] Ike and Eric.
Avatar 12:33am

That Sarah Louise was awesome!
  12:33am

Thanks Jeffrey Davidson. You're right. That's where it was. Just sent in my first pledge of the marathon! Woo-hoo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35am
ἶkε:

BTW Jeffrey Davison, I've been digging your archives a lot. For those of you who don't listen to his show, it's freaking great.

Sorry that Bad Ike escaped from his cage and started ranting about the Dead in that last comment. Bad Bad Ike! No donut! Back in the cage! BACK!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38am
Jeffrey Davison:

Thanks, real Ike.
Avatar 12:38am
Jeff Conklin:

Ike, have you pledged? Trying to decide how to deal with you but need to know that first
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am
Jeffrey Davison:

Everybody on Earth needs to pledge to keep WFMU alive.

  12:48am
rw:

Hmmm... I think I need that t-shirt. Relatively clean. Nice, JC!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54am
ἶkε:

Pledged pre-marathon, Mouse of Today (radio icon, yay). Hope others will join me. FMU is the place where you will hear sounds that make you passionate. Maybe you will passionately hate a few of the things, but you will really feel something for sure! That's better than bland commercial stuff. So PLEDGE! (Apologies for outbursting, I hope it was at least vaguely funny or something.)
  12:55am
Mario:

Bad times for pledging a lot, but I'm trying it! How much for that Relatively Clean Tee?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55am
Jeffrey Davison:

$75
  1:11am
Mario:

Less is nothing (as it is said in Spain)
Thank you guys for playing fantastic music
  1:19am
dave:

Whoa!
Avatar 1:20am
Eiderdown:

Many thanks for the Prana Crafter premiere Jeff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20am
Jeffrey Davison:

This is music programming like nowhere else on the planet. If you don't believe me, look around sometime. Find one of those "great radio on the web" articles, then check them out. A couple of them are great, a few more are good, and most are just okay, frankly. Glad they're out there, because they're representing in some way, but FMU's programming is simply the most diverse and deep, period. And check out this Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith/Suzanne Ciani thing that's on now. How many radio stations play this stuff? Yeah, I thought so...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22am
Jeffrey Davison:

Next prize up for grabs: Michael Chapman, VDSQ Solo Acoustic Vol 12. An amazing musician, and a must-have series for the acoustic guitar lover. $20 gets you in the running for the Michael Chapman. And support Jeff Conklin and WFMU!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am

  1:24am
Mario:

Anyplace, Jeffrey...
Avatar 1:26am
Jeff Conklin:

Enormous thanks to all those who have pledged. More great records to give away this morning, including two more Jack Rose LPs, a great Bob Brown reissue CD on Tompkins Square, the latest Daniel Bachman LP and THIS KAITLIN AURELIA SMITH/SUZANNE CIANI on LP!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27am
Jeffrey Davison:

We need the love, and we need the money, just like y'all. And get in the running for the Michael Chapman LP. Yeah, vinyl. It's back, but for the crazies here at FMU, it never left...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45am
Guido from Cologne:

Good morning Jeff and Jeffrey!
Pre-work pledging. :-)
This is just a start.
7:45 AM here in Cologne Germany.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47am
Jeffrey Davison:

Hey there, Guido. Thanks for being there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49am
Jeffrey Davison:

Hey, all you music lovers...if you're along for the ride, please pony up. If you've just woken up and you've got FMU on, please pledge your support. If this is the tail end of your day, pledge before your head hits the pillow.

  1:55am
Ochre Ogre:

Trees... awesome, great show guys!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56am
Guido from Cologne:

Didn't Meg Baird (of Espers, Bairs Sisters, heron Oblivion) say the singer from Trees was her role model?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am
Jeffrey Davison:

and welcome Ochre Ogre. thanks...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am
Jeffrey Davison:

Guido, I'm not sure, but stylistically they seem close, yeah.
  2:00am
dave from outside rw:

Man this is just 100% killer, jc! I had to go buy that Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith & Suzanne Ciani LP since I obviously wasn't winning that too. Man, what a show
  2:05am
Ochre Ogre:

They made a remaster of "On the Shore" with a bonus CD.
  2:06am
Eric Hat:

Did Jeffrey just say I won the lp? Or was it another Eric?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11am
Jeffrey Davison:

Eric from Flagstaff won the Smith/Ciani
  2:13am
Eric Hat:

Yay! So awesome. Thanks guys! I love this show and everything I've heard from that LP. And FMU for life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18am
Jeffrey Davison:

Hey, dave, belated greetings.
Avatar 2:21am
Jeff Conklin:

Currently up for grabs for a pledge of 20 or more: Ryley Walker - Primrose Green LP and Bob Brown - the Wall I Built Myself CD
  2:30am
Juan:

Hey Jeff, greetings from Baja California (again). Just wanted to let you know you've pushed me over the edge, I've just donated and oh boy, pretty soon I'm probably gonna be the only guy in my state with a fancy schmanzy Avant Ghetto t-shirt! :-)
I'm gonna wear it proud. The spark that lit the fuse that set me off was you guys commenting tonight about the 15 years of audio archives, which I often take for granted, so thank you for reminding me.
Avatar 2:40am
Jeff Conklin:

Thanks so much, Juan.

PEOPLE: I have a lot of gifts and not a lot of time. PLEDGE NOW (20 bucks or more) and you can get something cool!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49am
Jeffrey Davison:

Thanks Juan. Your pledge might have been made on the FMU home page, so it wouldn't get to Jeff's show, as a result, but a pledge is a pledge, and it's all for WFMU, so thank you. And thanks to everyone who has supported us thus far, and thanks to those who are going to pledge.
  2:50am
Phil:

Did my pledge go through? Would love to be in the running for one of those Jack Rose LPs. ;)
  2:51am
Phil:

Oh, I see, I pledged on the homepage too. Glad to support WFMU and the Avant Ghetto in any case!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53am
Jeffrey Davison:

Thanks Phil. All for a good cause.
  2:56am
Phil:

No problem, will just grip those Rose records the honest way!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00am
Bas NL:

Awesome! I love Jack Rose!!
