Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Once again, the Give The Drummer Stream and the Main Stream are simultaneously playing shows I like to listen to!

True, good shows Wednesday (Thursday and Friday conflict as well on some I like).
Always available for download.
Hi all.

weinstein:

I guess if you really love that live radio experience, and that is non-negotiable for some folks, the conflict is undeniable.

doctorjazz:

I do like listening in real time, especially if I have time for the message boards during the shows.

Dave in Vermont:

'radio' is listed as an instrument. Did someone have an actual radio and occasionally amplify live broadcasts? Or was it prerecorded samples or something else?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:52pm
Webhamster Henry:

Yeah sometimes I have to flip a coin, or run two streams simultaneously.

Thanks again, David and Ruth, for shifting Ridgewood Radio to make room for Mary Wing!

I get to hear more of your show in this new slot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm
weinstein:

Mary Wing was fun and gracious and entertaining and curious and edgy and sugary and deep and gloriously mad, so perfect to warm up to... um... us!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm
weinstein:

Dave, you are kind. We are still a little raw from several weeks of saving the universe, or our part of it, but we keep learning!

There was a cello piece on Kiminsky Kamousky last night that had me dreaming about a ceiling crawling with bugs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31pm
weinstein:

@Andrew: During the show or in your sleep?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I dozed off during the show. It was one of those 3/4s asleep situations
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm

The 3/4 place is where the creepiest and coolest stuff happens.
