The Drummer Stream plays a continuous flow of sem-automated sounds. When a live show comes on the stream, that sound source hooks in "downstream" from the continuous flow, which is still running behind it. If the connection of the live programming buffers, it could kick you back to the always running flow behind it. Does that answer your question?

I found it extremely weird when after including an Alice Cooper tweet, the reporter says parenthetically, "Cooper being well-known to some of us for this legendary cameo." Then had a link to a Wayne's World movie clip with Alice. I say WTF...Do they give prizes for tangents that are 99.9% irrelevant and 110% unsuited?

Yes, "Wee Wee" seems piano-based and the vocal sounds more like Johnson to me (or even Charles Brown, though I don't think he ever backed Chuck). The record publisher may have "promoted" Berry from backup guitarist to leader.

Radio has always been a source of discovery (and inspiration). What you own you already know, so the the sense of discovery is obviously much weaker. One might think that one has heard a lot over the yerars. but the average WFMU playlist is at least 80 per cent completely unknown.

I just got a 50th anniversary edition of the debut album which has an extra cd of a Vancouver concert from mid-66. With "Viola Lee Blues" of course. The Dead was bluesy in those days!

I read that singing over piano was also the case with Nat King Cole too. I read that he made some recordings of excellent instrumental jazz piano, but the record company was like: "As long as your singing brings in so much more revenue, we're not going to bother releasing any of this other stuff."

Yes absolutely. Nat Cole actually had to sign contracts that forbid him from being credited on piano (if I am remembering correctly).

Jaki Liebezeit, very nearly a perfect drummer. (There is no such thing as a perfect drummer.) Conveyed so much more than just drums, or percussion or rhythm. He created environments.

A lot of streetcars in the US were made by the St. Louis car company.

I remember when Pittsburgh still had streetcars in the 1970's. Some of them were painted in Peter Max designs.
