Hey Therese and all... I was just thinking, there's no request based show on FMU. Yes?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm
chris_in_space:

Can't say it for Split Enz or Buzzcocks, but I saw the Beastie Boys many times during this tour and the next, 25 or so years ago? I don't want to do the math.

Eric Hat:

Two things I hope to live to see realized...

-A Primarily Request Based FMU Program Hour

-FMU hitting global tour circuits (obviously on a volunteer basis)

Please don't give me shit. Just extending the tentacles.
  10:21pm
Eric Hat:

Forgive me. Got the night off and floating appropriately.
  10:24pm

If no one wishes it, it can't happen. Like Mendocino in German.

PJ:

@Eric Hat: Unless you have something different in mind, a request-based show is the antithesis of free-form - a DJ playing whatever they please. (And you know how much DJs love to play requests).
  10:39pm
Andal:

big laugh at "how the radio sausage is made." hey, hearing a dj not know what to play next only makes them seem more like a friend curating an experience...

What I Did For Love!!!
  10:46pm
Eric Hat:

Actually, I'm thinking a request based show is pretty free form...considering it's basically improv. It would be fun. But whatever. Just an idea really. Only been listening to FMU since 89. Still trying to get into the swing of things..
  11:06pm
PJ:

Thanks for the swell tunes, Therese.
