annie:

i used to drag my french press with me.. too much chance of it breaking and the one-cup method is fine, but... well,,,, i want a good strong cuppa. i might have to investigate an alternative method or get a cheap one-cup plastic press.

I'll catch up w/ you next time, Jeffrey, and all. Shrunken Planet is as indispensable on a Saturday morning as the clouds in my coffee. Later.

See you, Sem. I agree. Shrunken Planet is as indispensable as marshmallows in my hot chocolate.

Mike East:

Finally motivated to find an extension cord to plug in my speakers at work...and thus, there was sound...and it was good. Good morning, Jeffrey and all.

Christy:

Thanks for playing the Daniel Schmidt again, and then I loved Susan Alcorn. What is that genre? Forgive my ignorance, here to learn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28am
Jeffrey Davison:

Ask a musician nowadays what genre their music is a part of and you will encounter difficulty, as so many are drawing from a wide variety of styles, genres, etc... Alcorn would generally be considered avant-garde guitar, but that might be doing her an injustice. In interviewing musicians, I no longer ask them to categorize their music. We listeners are just along for the ride...
Avatar 8:32am
annie:

@Mike East: yep, it's all about the sound quality. i just got new headphones.... even pureer bliss!
Avatar 8:36am
fm Mike:

Oh I like this. Makes me feel a little more connected to my Irish roots...

annie, isn't it awesome when you get new headphones? Especially when you use them to listen to something you haven't heard in ages. Then you get to hear all those little sounds you didn't hear before.
  8:37am
Christy:

Thanks, Jeffrey, I think this is often true and. she certainly seems to have ranged widely. Always enjoy your show very much, for revealing such interesting music.
