Re Lynch:
Mystery - Plot
Noir...everything else.

For the Pepper remix:
a.) Not deleting the 'Classic' version - so relax...
b.) They're going back a generation on original mix elements that four-track mixdown technology didn't let them do back then. That's kewl. Also - making a Stereo presentation of the Mono mix - which was the primary one.
That's all good.
- & the packaging looks crazy awesome too.
Oh & kewl session outakes...

Avatar 12:01pm Jess_in_Nola:

While in NOLA have a nice dinner at GW Finns (it is my favorite restaurant and the menus changes everyday and is fresh). Go to Felix for Oysters (not ACME). Acme is a tourist trap and Felix is right across the street and a local favorite. For music go to Frenchmen Street and record shop at Louisiana Music Factory (also on Frenchmen) and Euclid Records on Piety Street is also a favorite. Beignets at Cafe du Monde is always a local and tourist favorite. The drink of New Orleans is a sazerac and the Sazerac bar in the Roosevelt Hotel has the best. Pat O'Briens for Hurricanes. Parkway Tavern or Domilise for awesome poboys. Ruby Slipper for brunch has an amazing eggs cochon and pascale manale for bbq shrimp. This should be a good start! Hope it helps!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Listener Baby:

There ya go Mike. The inside scoop!
  12:10pm toni:

u gonna play tiki song?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

If you see Disney parks as this expansive New Frontier era Americana kischykewl thang - yeah. If you see it as this contempo mega acquisition Corp. that pollutes & underpays people who throw up in their MickeyMouse costumes - no.
  12:13pm Eddy in Australia:

@Michael: Have you been to Club 33 at Disneyland?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

  12:16pm clarke:

adios all -- i said good day sir!!!
Avatar 12:16pm Michael Shelley:

Eddie - no! Are you a member?
RRN63 - There are horrible things yes, I know - but I know people who worked there and have only good things to say.. a mixed bag (like most things)
Jess - Thanks
Clarke - bye
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@MS: That's interesting.
  12:20pm Eddy in Australia:

Michael: Ha! Didn't even know it existed until this week, when it came up in the ridiculous Rebel Wilson court case.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm Listener Baby:

  12:33pm toni:

in new orleans the final t is silent because its french, the spelling in the official dylan lyrics is taken from shakespeare

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Frank Above:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm Listener Baby:

Been enjoying the show, this morning, Michael.

Love Crabby!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Frank Above:

I think we're long past the point of being classified as "kids".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Listener Baby:

"Kids" in the totally groovy sense.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Frank Above:

Well, that too....
  12:41pm Layet Johnson:

I'm guessing most of your New Orleans food recommendations are going to be meat based, but avoid it if you can Mike!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Not that was some well-articulated chikkenpickin'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Uncle Michael:

What a cool cover.
  12:45pm Adammets:

Jerry Ragovoy is an interesting guy. Lincoln Center had a tribute concert a few years ago. A winner.

Avatar 12:49pm Jess_in_Nola:

St. James Cheese company in the Warehouse District or Uptown has great cheese and salads.
  12:52pm paul:

Take the trolly to Cooter Brown's for a couple of cold ones.
  12:53pm paul:

It's also a good place for oysters.
  12:54pm mauri:

  12:55pm Nordstrom:

This Johnny Frierson tune changed my life. My fave tune-discovery of last year on your show.
  12:56pm paul:

Did Smokey Robinson ever record a song called Johnny Frierson?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Frank Above:

This song is really great!
  12:56pm paul:

I agree
  11:06am Joe R.:

I'd recommend Confederacy of Cruisers Bike Tours (https://confederacyofcruisers.com/) - very loose, very fun. The Creole tour focuses on the neighborhoods outside of the Quarter (we were lucky and got an impromptu tour of music sites too!) Haven't done the Culinary tour but I'd have to think they show off some hidden gems.
  11:10am Joe R.:

Also, the Backstreet Cultural Museum (the website isn't great, do a Google image search instead) has got a fantastic collection of Mardi Gras Indian costumes and jazz funeral photos.
