	1:05pm glenn: i grew up on a farm a million miles from anywhere. my past didn't really become sordid until i finished high school and got a car. still a teenager, but only barely.
	♥ 1:07pm Meghan: Oh what record store.... I was just up there for Mom's day.... though didn't get into the city. I had found a bunch of records in a store on the border of Allston, near the Paradise....
	♥ 1:09pm The Oscar: I was at Planet Records in Harvard Square (formerly of Kendall) for many years. Sounds like you were at In Your Ear-- great store!
	♥ 1:10pm Meghan: It's been so long, I forgot all the names.... I used to always hit Mystery Train... that was my favorite
	♥ 1:13pm The Oscar: Alas, Mystery Train Boston is gone; they still have stores in Amherst and Gloucester, though I don't think they're actually affiliated with each other anymore. I grew up in central MA, so the Amherst store was the hub of my musical education.
	♥ 1:16pm Meghan: I was curious if the one in Gloucester still existed. The singer from Gigalo Aunts worked at the Newbury St. location
	♥ 1:19pm The Oscar: They moved down the road a few years back, and the new space is actually ENORMOUS. It's really funny how many Boston music legends still work the stores-- Jeff Connolly from the Lyres and Peter Prescott from Mission of Burma worked at Looney Tunes right up until they closed. I think Barrence Whitfield might still work at the Record Exchange in Salem.

He's listening to "Avalon" by Roxy Music on his $350,000 stereo system."
