Then I got a terrible stomach bug and decided I wasn't up to reading the loooooong stretch about wildebeests dying in the sun, and by the time I got back to it I'd lost any chance of picking up the narrative threads. I had been into the idea of northern soul for a little while but this was the first track where I truly felt it and fell in love with the music. I've probably played this 1000 times and still put it on mixes for people 15+ years later. Excellent!!!
