we're all genetically programmed to fail at the end. what gives us
strength is how we live until then.

Thanks Brian - a bit lazy up hear in the midwestern heat and humid... (rumor has it the isthmus is under much the same conditions).

I think the Clay news came out a couple of weeks ago - I heard him talking about on the Dusty show a while back...

La Petite Paire des Peuples does have track names here:

nolagosmusique.bandcamp.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm
fred:

La petite paire des peuples is Thomas (who runs the No Lagos label) and Jérome (aka Blenno Die Wurstbrucke). The name is a pun on "le petit père des peuples" which was a nickname for Stalin in France. The historical name translates to "little father of the people", with the pun switching paire (pair) for père (father)

@RevRab: There's plenty more where that came from: the man's health had been poor for a while, but he was still putting out new music at least as recently as late last year. Over 6 decades of music to go through

Steve, I learned a great deal from this book: Plunderphonics, 'pataphysics & Pop Mechanics: An Introduction to Musique Actuelle

Andrew Jones

Focuses on John Oswald as I recall, but has a pretty in depth history of Musique Concrete. Only book I've read on the topic, though.
