I heard the Ra in the Salah Ragab & the Cairo Jazz Band piece and had to find out who it was. You got me again, Irwin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm
Irwin:

Art Yard released a bunch of Salah a few years ago. Great stuff, from late '60s/early '70s.
Avatar 3:16pm

Irwin did you see this in the Times yesterday:

Michael, it's almost a pretty good painting otherwise.

Oscar, how'd you find out it was a true story?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm

@Dean That's insane! The record store I used to work for once had a publicity photo of Tiffany pulled from eBay because it fell under their "counterfeit Tiffany" algorithm.

  3:44pm
Listener Robert:

That's really a great story, thanks. Considering what "The $6M Man" was about, very fitting that they were the ones to discover this! I also wonder about the sleuthing on the corpse's provenance that was apparently good enough for Snopes -- must've been a lot of leg work. And hilarious how at the end it was immobilized in the style of a vampire or zombie or enchanted mummy.
