Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm DJVikkiV:

I'm not sure! WFMU?
Swag For Life Member 8:30pm Rich in NC:

During these years I was in 6+7grade, It was still AM, Beatle's, Paul Revere, DC 5, Beach boys, I have no idea what was going on with the FM radio,by 72-73wnew fm was pretty much free form as far as what the DJ played
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm DJVikkiV:

I started out on AM radio... We used to have a great AM state here n Atlanta
Avatar 8:32pm Mailman Tom:

Rich in NC: I never heard any of these songs played on the radio when they were released. I've been a FM listener since 1966, starting with WBAI.
Swag For Life Member 8:35pm Rich in NC:

Hey Tom, what state was that in,and was it a good fM station
Swag For Life Member 8:36pm Rich in NC:

Vikki, did your AM station play this???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm DJVikkiV:

Yes!...lol because I did!
Avatar 8:37pm Mailman Tom:

NYC. WBAI is legendary. It was the first station to play so called "underground music"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm DJVikkiV:

Fringe Factory Radio Show was on AM radio for around 7 years before WFMU
Swag For Life Member 8:37pm Rich in NC:

Very progressive for am,no?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39pm DJVikkiV:

Tom are there any WBAI airchecks online do you know? Love to listen to old radio shows
Swag For Life Member 8:41pm Rich in NC:

I went from wabc/wmca to wnew fm with a year or two off, your opinion of wnew around 75/76?
Swag For Life Member 8:43pm Rich in NC:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm DJVikkiV:

Swag For Life Member 8:47pm Rich in NC:

Avatar 8:47pm Mailman Tom:

I have an aircheck of a 1966 Bob Fass Show where he has Bob Dylan on for one hour of conversation. I have it on cassette tape. I'm not aware of anything online.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm DJVikkiV:

oh wow coo Toml! Theres a bunch of San francisco 60s shows online.. maybe in the web archives
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm DJVikkiV:

Rich glad to turn you on to new tunes! I am an obsessive digger/researcher :)
Swag For Life Member 8:55pm Rich in NC:

The fact that I was 13/14, when this good music was made Is very interesting to me, lwould have liked to hear it back in the day, this is way cool
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm DJVikkiV:

And most of the musicians were very close to that age which is crazy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm DJVikkiV:

This is the last song! Next week I think I've got a couple great local bands coming on for an interview and I'll gab some more. Tonight was less talk more rawk! ;-D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:01pm DJVikkiV:
