The "Baby Driver" soundtrack is a monster, Al. A lot of great tracks, across all genres. There's even a Dave Brubeck tune on here.

Yep it's the second to last track. Great album, I gather there's some crying about the fact it's produced by Mark Ronson - it's thin, different, but it sounds great.

Oh, I didn't even notice! I just discovered this album in the library today--was tracking through it, and when I got to "Un-Born Again" I said, "Yep, that's the one I'm gonna play!" Didn't even listen to the rest of the tracks. Thanks for the heads-up, maybe I'll play "The Evil Has Landed" next week.

Ken From Hyde Park:

Good morning, Mark R and all. Hard to imagine how ground-breaking this must have been in 1974. Still sounds fresh and modern today.

markr:

I think the reception was "mixed," shall we say. Most of those who really loved it were not a typical "jazz" audience, a lot of them were fans of experimental rock like King Crimson. As with most things Miles, history has been kinder to this work than many people, especially the so-called "experts," were at the time.
