Favoriting September 5, 2017: FEDERALE
Collin Hegna of Federale joins Morricone Island in the studio to discuss the Portland, OR-based seven piece band's most recent album entitled "All The Colours of the Dark," released by Death Waltz Records. Collin, who has played bass for Brian Jonestown Massacre for the past 13 years, conceived Federale in 2006 as an outlet for his love of 60s and 70s European film soundtracks, particularly Italian spaghetti western and giallo films. He has also been contributing and composing music for director Ana Lily Amirpour's film and television work, including her 2014 feature length film "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night" and 2017 follow up "The Bad Batch." This will be a two-hour show.

Will someone kindly explain to me why I cannot purchase an actual CD with "The Day that David Bowie Died"? Why is it only available on vinyl or download? Perhaps the CD is available through a private website? I'd love to know why more and more songs are being made available only by streaming on Amazon for like $2 instead of hard discs available (for more money of course plus shipping)?
