i don't want to click any names because if they do what the visuals link does, the names will then be visible.
  12:22am

i could do a black on black playlist, perhaps for halloween
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am

I needed to dust off my old Stashu playlist trick of the ctrl-a sequence. The invisible has become visible!
  12:29am
rich:

blee you just showed up without me clicking on your name somehow circumventing the scheme

@Ken Ahh, the old days of the Stashu three-hour overnights with the crazy playlist backgrounds! Happy times indeed.

The last times I heard Rich's show was waiting for Stashu, wishing i could get up earlier and listen to his whole shows. Now I'm six time zones west of Canterbury and it's getting too late to stay up...

Forgive my ignorance but can someone set me straight, William Berger has just quit or he's passed away? Thanks. Because I can't find anything on the web about it
  1:12am
rich:

beavo he passed away
  1:14am
BEAVO:

What a drag I was just chatting with him like a couple weeks ago on the comment board and I can't find an obituary anywhere. I knew he had a stroke a while back didn't know how bad his health was.
  1:14am
rich:

the homepage has the information and also points you toward his blog, record label, and live sets from my castle of quiet on the fma

I only heard Wm. Berger's show once, and it was last week, his last one.
: (
He played some underrated late-Ozzy-period Sabbath and confessed that he just didn't like Ronnie James Dio ("Too showy. Or something.") I really liked him. RIP.

those crazy germans. man this is a wicked track
Avatar 1:18am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

Wow. Sabbath. Wm. mentioned that he, like everyone, loved the first four albums. Rock on.
  1:19am
BEAVO:

Thanks Ken and Rich.
Avatar 1:21am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

To clarify, I really liked Wm., not RJD, who I also find annoyingly "showy".
  1:23am
rich:

i really liked wm. and not rjd also
  1:23am
JakeGould:

Also, I posted this link on Daniel’s playlist to a public access TV show from back in 1989 or so called “Young, Gifted and Broke” that featured William’s first band, “Uncle Wiggly.” www.youtube.com...
  1:25am
BEAVO:

Well this brings back memories I bought volume 4 when it came out when I was 13. there was debate at the time as to whether or not it was as good as Paranoid and Master of reality, no It isn't but its still great!
  1:26am
JakeGould:

There’s a fairly intense debate among folks over “The first 4 Sabbath” LPs versus the rest of the canon. I’m happy William liked the first 4 which are basically the LPs that were mainly written on pot before the cocaine binges really kicked in.
  1:28am
JakeGould:

Apropos to nothing, Rich you like Ruth Asawa? There is a very nice small exhibition of her work at David Zwirner Gallery on 20th Street in Chelsea.
  1:28am
rich:

i do like sabbath bloody sabbath quite a bit and am i going insane is a great song to sing along to
  1:30am
JakeGould:

Well, I have alienated more than a few friends by saying I don’t like “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” so hey… To me it’s LP that marks their descent into self-parody… And piles of cocaine.
  1:36am
rich:

nothing wrong with self-parody

every song in this set makes me glad i chose to take drugs at such a young age
