I'm a tea guy myself, but I can relate sometimes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am Listener Baby:

Please explain Dunkin' Donuts? What is the deal with you East Coasters and that franchise? Worst donuts, worst coffee.. Ever. Can someone splain me?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am Parq:

Been looking forward to this show all week. (And a great week it's been!) Let'r rip.

@Listener Baby: It's hard to explain. We're also fond of rope burns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am Parq:

Marketing, Baby.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am doctorjazz:

I'm with Listener Baby on Dunkin' Donuts, don't get it.
Loving this Jimmy Smith!
  11:19am Ignore Function:

I'm glad I got to see Jimmy Smith.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19am Frank Above:

Death to fancy coffee!
Avatar 11:20am Von the Trucker:

I only go to DD for French Crullers because Mr. Donut went tits up, years ago.
Avatar 11:23am Hoboken Jack:

That I can now get a DD ciabatta sandwich as a quick pre-Monty Hall meal, instead of eating popcorn for dinner within the venue, is a wonderful thing.
  11:25am StuBot:

More Beatles impersonators. Double dog dare you to play the real deal. Clay would ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Gaylord Fields:

"Words Enough to Tell You": If I ever do my idea of a Fake Beatles bracket competition, I predict this song would finish pretty high.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am Gaylord Fields:

@StuBot: My Beatles fandom should go unchallenged, and speaking for myself, when you have two hours a week and 100+ years of music to choose from, oftentimes it's a better choice to play songs not already easily available in most households.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Hughie Considine:

And no offense to Clay, but "Clay would" is a dubious benchmark.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Mike Sin:

Re: Dunkin Donuts
For me, the 24-hour availabilty of fresh coffee was always a plus. My local small-business coffee vendor had a tendency to just serve a pot until it was empty... no matter if it was sitting there burning on the hot plate for hours. Wa-Wa has upped the ante in Jersey regarding 24-hour coffee with its endless varieties and non-dairy creamer selections.
  11:35am gregory:

Who was the opener ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am Chris J:

Opener was Cut Worms ... www.youtube.com...
11:38am Michael from the Left Coast:

Slightly Drunk is one of the few songs that I know that has backing vocal lines that never appear otherwise in the song. In fact, it could be argued that the backing vocals take the lead in the chorus.
  11:43am Patrick:

Christopher Holland, bro of Jools, has a nice tribute ("Cheers Then")to Chris & Glenn of Squeeze on his CD, whole thing free on Freegal if yr public lib participates
  11:49am Doc Rock:

I hate Starbucks coffee. It always tastes burnt. DD is just a great old cup of joe. That’s all I need.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am purpleknif:

You get a pledge for that new Groovies song. Made my day Michael. Thank you.
  11:57am trevor-in-j.c.:

Webb Pierce! Yes!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Listener Baby:

Baby. Setting up for yours boys tonight. They are going to tear into us as soon as the sun sets.
  11:59am Doc Rock:

Emmett is usually compared to P. McCartney but this one sounds kind of Lennonish. When I was 17 I spent a lot of time at The Fillmore East, and related activities, if a catch my drift.
Avatar 12:00pm glenn:

hoboken jack has a pleasing radio voice.
Avatar 12:00pm Hoboken Jack:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm doctorjazz:

Nicely done, Jack!

That Soul Stirrers track was driving me nuts till I hit on "Soothe Me."
Avatar 12:04pm Michael Shelley:

Thou shall steal?
Avatar 12:04pm glenn:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm drr:

Michael from Left Coast: see "Love Me Tenderly" by the Felice Brothers, where the backing vocals are about a whole different subject than the main lyrics.
Avatar 12:06pm Michael Shelley:

Would make a great comp theme
  12:10pm Doc Rock:

New Groovies song sounds like old late 70’s Groovies. Very Byrd’s as usual. IMO The Groovies are overrated. Speaking as someone who bought their 1st album upon release.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm myron feld:

John & George singing “Frere Jacques” on the bg vocals of “Paperback Writer.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm Listener Baby:

This song murders me.

Avatar 12:43pm glenn:

still a good song.
  12:45pm Moammar:

Speaking of Venezuela, I was just there for a somewhat harrowing week and chanced across a sort-of reggae/funk band called Rawayana on their version of MTV. Pretty cool stuff. Check out "Gatos Oliva." Great cut.

will do
