After 17 years teaching music technology in computer labs, this is a soundscape I have become very familiar with. Having set the class the task of reworking field recordings recorded by primary children, students busily engage with editing and arranging. Clicks of mice, typing on QWERTY keyboards and hammering on MIDI controller keyboards dominates, with glimpses of the sound worlds the students are inhabiting emanating from headphones every now and again. Occasional rustles of clothing, coughs and sighs are all underpinned by the pulsing drone of the air conditioning. (Matched pair of Sennheiser 8020s and Jecklin to a SD MixPre6)

Hi Ike! As soon as you post you say hello you no longer have the option to not say hello

it was good yeah! It may have been with suicide in NYC before alan vega passed - in which case it was better than good. suicide was amazing. Martin Rev.'s solo stuff is good too - but I heard he was a thief :(
A former girlfriend could say "fur" with a wonderful version/demonstration of a Long Island accent. It was her native area, but she was mostly accent neutral.
I love accents from just about everywhere. It's hard not to mimic them when encountering them, but where it does and doesn't slide into mockery is tricky. A friend gets uptight and irked quickly when southern accents are put on with any suggestion or shade of denigration or even inauthenticity.
Just got home, but had to listen to Jim O'Rourke's cover of Ivor Cutlor and Linda Hirst's "Women of the World" to clear myself back to sanity. This works as well. Dajuin Yao, new to me AND ON SUB ROSA?!!!!
My wife has already told me I have a Southern accent already. Compared to others, I don't hear it. But I got the same comment for about 3 years after moving to NYC. Then, when visiting FL, I got the comments that I had a Yankee accent. Go figure.
i almost always like hearing different accents. there are 2 exceptions, both of other english speaking countries - not the us. (& one is a particular city area of that country)...but there have been exceptions.
Yep, Zero-G, the amazing zero-gravity cat, floated up to that great scratching post in the sky. Thank you for your thoughts. Grief is bad. But this show was good. Thanks.
