Hi Jesse! I have a recording for you - the rally for the Hainburger Au in Vienna, Dec 1984. Not exactly nature, though. I'll stick it in a dropbox or something and email you.
Hey Henry, that sounds great! I'm into more than just nature sounds, though not exactly sure I can tell you where one begins and the other ends..looking forward to checking it!
This jungle recording is described as such: Field recorded during the sunrise to the sunset in the mountain and the flat jungle in Guatemala, jully 2017
yeah, here's the description for this Pli Bel Bay piece: La pli bel an la bay is a broad sound phantom ride in space and time, starting from the Caribbean Sea around 4 am, and ending on top of a hill in late morning.
This soundscape has been composed from field recordings made in Guadeloupe (West Indies) in march 2017, notably off Deshaies, at Morne Mazeau and Anse-Bertrand.
The title of this piece, La pli bel an la bay, “The fairest one is under the bushel”, is a Guadeloupean proverb meaning that the most beautiful things in life are hidden, and we have to look for them.
This sounds a little different because this is a meantone temperament tuned organ:
from her website:
The opening piece uses a 400-year-old organ, tuned to the subtle but seductive ‘meantone temperament’. This is a tuning rarely heard. It sounds kind of ‘rounded out’ and warped.
This Ellen Arkbro sort of reminds me of the vibe of John Tchicai's "For Strings" w/ Mark Sanders, John Coxton & Ashley Wales (Spring Heel Jack) and other musicians.
hey! calling audiogeeks! maybe you can help me, if you would.
i've got an av amplifier with pre out jacks (pre out front; sub wf; surround; surround back multizone;& zone 2 - L & R of each) these are supposed to be used to add another amp, or powered speakers.
however, i heard somewhere, at some point that i can patch from those (esp the "front") pre-outs to an eq and then back in through the a pair of the "ext in" jacks. (of which there are 5)
...anyone?
Coel, that might work. I've never used pre-outs in the manner you describe. I don't think you can hurt your hardware trying it. It may degrade the audio in some unexpected way. I have configured EQs similarly, back when gear typically had a tape out and in.
Thanks UM. i considered buying a receiver with a "tape monitor" just for this, but i need many inputs, and some juice, and this has those features. what it doesn't have is a damn bass and a damn treble control. one must use a remote to adjust those and SCREW THAT! so i thought i'd get my eq in there somehow, which i formerly had en route to one specific cd burner.
maybe i'll call the company.
...at least if i can't make this work how i want i'm sure i can re-sell it for at least what i paid for it. probably more.

i'm in no hurry anyway, since the seller forgot to put the power cord in the box.
