Honey in my ears.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:05pm melinda:

hi Delphine
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm melinda:

@Brian irrigate w/warm water
Avatar 8:07pm βrian:

For some reason, there was no march in Madison, the reason for which I haven't been able to figure out. I mean, Madison!
Avatar 8:09pm βrian:

@melinda: But I had water in my ears, initially. My doctor, she told me to irrigate with honey, or Vermont grade B Dark Amber, as an alternative.

Avatar 8:11pm DC:

Great tracks here!
Avatar 8:13pm βrian:

Such sweet, supple capture! Thanks, Delphine.
Avatar 8:15pm βrian:

Tinawiren, or some such?
Avatar 8:19pm northguineahills:

Man, all of my favorite places in NYC are closing/closed. Still a handfull in Bushwick still around. I need to revisit my home!
Avatar 8:20pm βrian:

@NGH: Maybe you should lead guided tours for those us who have barely been there.
Avatar 8:23pm northguineahills:

I've explored every blockface in Manhattan, Almost all in Brooklyn but Brownsville, most in the Bronx, except the NE, and everything in Queens east of Flushing. (I like to explore regularly). Now I'm doing the same in FL.
Avatar 8:24pm northguineahills:

Dug the Tamikrest, new to me, and solid Lindstrom track (love everything he does).
Avatar 8:25pm northguineahills:

errr... west of Flushing....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm coelacanth∅:

i'm not sure i've ever even been to a club in brooklyn. when i lived down that way, in the 90s, i didn't hear about that many things happening there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm Mark Hurst:

Loving this Lindstrom track..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm coelacanth∅:

well, Katell Keineg at st.anne's cathedral...that might be it though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm melinda:

I liked the Lindstrom too.
Avatar 8:28pm DC:

third for Lindstorm track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm coelacanth∅:

damn, i haven't heard this in years (despite tribute programs)
Avatar 8:29pm Marc Francis:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm Bootsie:

Why can't we do that? ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm Bootsie:

It IS sold out. :-(
  8:39pm Old Dave:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm coelacanth∅:

last i saw the bright colors were just a part of the spectacle of the voluptuous horror of karen black!
Avatar 8:44pm northguineahills:

@coel: when I moved to Brooklyn in 2000, the only shows in Brooklyn I went to were unsanctioned warehouse parties. As you know, even back then, the Bedford Ave stop was dark and deserted after 10 pmish.
  8:45pm pbagz:

this shit SLAPS
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm coelacanth∅:

ngh that's about how i remember it. i did get in brooklyn sometimes to visit siblings, go to parties and and the occasional jamaican festival, and st.anne's once or twice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm Tome:

bit.ly... ,, terrifying ... PLEESE, many don't remember I guess the day of the LL ...
Avatar 8:52pm northguineahills:

Septeto Nacional, new to me, que linda!
  8:54pm chigger faggot:

I’m gay
  8:55pm pbagz:

damn cuba
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56pm coelacanth∅:

(and an asshole troll)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56pm Cooh John:

January has 2 full moons and 2 episodes of Delphine Blue.
Avatar 8:57pm northguineahills:

@Tome: I like how they interviewed the owner of Pumps.

/don't live in NYC anymore )had to move for a job), and missus moved to Crown Heights.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm coelacanth∅:

Tome there's something very suspicious about that. 15 months? when it's running okay as we speak?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm coelacanth∅:

haha yeah he says his girls can't afford cabs? the dancers i've known made more money than some lawyers!
Avatar 8:59pm northguineahills:

@coel: There is actual saltwater damag to the East River tunnel. It wasn't the most urgent situation, but the oxidation needs to be dealt w/ in a somewhat timely matter (knowing the MTA, it will be longer then 15 months)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm coelacanth∅:

ah, okay. so they're probably practically rebuilding the whole thing.
Avatar 9:01pm northguineahills:

@coel: 13 years ago I dated a dancer, and she made quite a bit (met her at a noise show [not a strip club guy])
Avatar 9:02pm northguineahills:

err... damage (I really should preview before posting)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04pm Tome:

look how long it too to finally fix up ie,,, Bway,, Laf,, in Soho / Village,, will take until about 2015 to post hipsterize the L train now ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04pm Tome:

2025 that is ****
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05pm coelacanth∅:

ngh no me neither! but by some weird coincidence? i must've known at least 7-8 dancers at one point. they all made bank, even the ones with armpit hair!
Avatar 9:08pm northguineahills:

@Tome: Billyburg is nothing but Trustafarians and yuppies anymore anyways. The hipsters are in Bushwick/Ridgewood (and the Trustafarian/yuppie bleed has been going into Bushwick for at least 5 years now). Then there are the real artists/musicians/working families.
Avatar 9:10pm northguineahills:

I only saw Sharon Jones in the recording studio (friend was the engineer).
Avatar 9:13pm northguineahills:

While working for the Census Bureau a decade ago, we had Kreyòl translators.
Avatar 9:15pm northguineahills:

I'm bouncing like a rubber ball, Gracias Delphine Blue, buenos noches todos..

/will wait until the Lab is over....
  9:15pm listenerSean:

Just tuned in. Lovely to hear the glorious delphine blue on the air!
  9:16pm pbagz:

Avatar 9:20pm geezerette:

Howdy Carm!
Avatar 9:21pm geezerette:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm coelacanth∅:

i played stereolab on the jukebox last night. (not the first time) at first a few gangsta rap poseurs complained but by the end of the track a lot of folks were diggin' it.
  9:23pm JakeGould:

Hey regarding Williamsburg, that 19 month L train shutdown will really push out some more f the trustafarians. I hope! How many $7 toast places filled with entitled brats does one need?
  9:23pm Carmichael:

@coel, your superior musical tastes eventually conquered all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm coelacanth∅:

hey g
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm coelacanth∅:

haha Carm i wish!
Avatar 9:25pm delphine:

hi. its hard to comment and cue and keep track of the playlist but hi! and interesting comment about the census bureau
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I find it cool that it had Stereolab in there in the first place.
Avatar 9:27pm geezerette:

c-eeeeeeeel! It's 50 above here and everyone's shivering. Are we soft out here or what?

Jake, MORE toast places? I fear for our future. Oh the inertia.
  9:28pm JakeGould:

@geezerette: No! Less! Less shitty brunch places when the train shutdown happens. I hope!
Avatar 9:29pm geezerette:

Sounds likely, good luck!
  9:31pm jt:

We are on the couch listening to this whole show and we decided this is a very good show it just flows pleasantly along. Another thing: we might get married. True story.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm coelacanth∅:

Ken it's inexplicable what's available and what's not. and it changes. beatles,no; former beatles, yes. no Neil Young, then yes Neil Young. zero boys then no zero boys. king crimson,no but the myrrors, yes. Eno, but only the Eno you'd never want to hear in a pub.
  9:33pm Carmichael:

@jt, seriously? Congrats to you and significant other!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33pm coelacanth∅:

jt good luck and premature congratulations!
  9:34pm Gaylord Fields:

Delphine, this show has been wondrous. Loving it and all you do to make it happen.
  9:34pm Carmichael:

And everyone should love Status Quo. They are the Spinal Tap of classic rock.
Avatar 9:35pm geezerette:

jt: Happy future!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37pm Booz:

Was just listening to Delphine's show on WLIR in '85 (aircheck recently sent by a friend), then realized we were missing Gaylord and lucked into this. Wotta world! Wotta show!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm Gaylord Fields:

@Booz: So glad to have Delphine in for this Sunday as well as the next two.

@Wendy del Formaggio: Hi there, lovely friend!
Avatar 9:52pm lisa:

Great set, Delphine. I was fortunate enough to see Eartha at Cafe Carlyle; one of the best shows in my life. A first-class performer!
Swag For Life Member 9:52pm Jinx:

Loved the show. Thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54pm Gaylord Fields:

@lisa: Remind me to tell you whne I see you next about when I saw Eartha at the Carlyle.

Thanks, DJ DB. Take care until next week.
@Gaylord - What do you think of the Super Bowl match-up?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm Gaylord Fields:

@Ken From Hyde Park: No Giants, so I have to go for the team in the same division.
Avatar 9:57pm lisa:

@Gaylord Fields: I look forward to it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Wendy del Formaggio:
