So, there was an earthquake this morning centered a mile from my house. Do you have anything earthquake-appropriate?

Oh man, Bootsie. I'll try to calm the shakes?

I can almost see the crackles on this record.

Star on LBR! Well with that lineup it's no wonder. Just unearthed the car from 2" ice n snow so this show is bug comfort. Coming in sharp & clear on WMFU.

Bootsie:

I didn't even feel it. But that sucker was LOUD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm

@yippie and @ultradamno on the same wavelength :-)

I like the music, but it’s pretty clear to me that Jimmie Byron cannot scr-ah-ee-ah-eam.

@Bootsie: I just downloaded the “Citizen” app, but a woman was assaulted one block away from me today. Manhole fire a little further down. So hey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm
Bootsie:

@Jake that sounds like a fun app.
  8:28pm
JakeGould:

My dream is to get an alert on the app for police being called because of a raccoon or lost parrot.

She couldn't be from Minneapolis?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm

I saw a fb post earlier about a lost parakeet...

Hi Becky, for a few years, around 1949 - 1952, RCA color-coded vinyl releases to music genre:
Green = Country
Red/pink=blues, R&B
Yellow = Kiddie
Blue = (I think) were for pop
And a few others I can't recall.

Have fun tonight!

Cool info @Marc

Marc Grobman:

Think you're correct on the blue=classical.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
Little Danny:

Yeah, RCA was the first to really do 45s, right?

Great show so far Becky!

RCA color-coded 45s: classical=red. Those are a LOT of fun.

Weather conditions permitting, you might get a couple of Canadian listeners, Becky. www.radio-locator.com...

Marc Grobman:

FWIW, according to one website (and my memory agrees)
Black: Popular releases were on standard black vinyl.
Green: Country releases were on green vinyl
Yellow: Children's records were on yellow vinyl
Red: Classical releases were on red vinyl
Orange: "Race" (or R&B and Gospel) records were on orange vinyl
Blue: Blue vinyl/blue label was used for semi-classical instrumental music
Blue vinyl/black label for international recordings

Marc Grobman:

Wow, the country artists doing rock is hilarious! What a find!
